On June 1st, the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024, themed "The Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An," will officially open. This event is not only attractive to tourists but also draws special attention from artists and writers, especially photographers.
Mr. Pham Tuan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, said: The Provincial Association of Literature and Arts will participate in the "Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An" photo exhibition in 2024 at two locations: Ba Cave and Tam Coc Boat Dock. The number of selected photographs for display is 120.
These are works by members of the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, including many works on the theme of Tam Coc, and many works that have won awards at exhibitions and photography competitions in the Red River Delta region, nationally and internationally.
In addition, to create opportunities for members to create, the Literature and Arts Association widely publicized the time and location of the event so that members could actively participate and come up with creative ideas.
Photographer Hoang Tien Hung, a photographer in Ninh Binh city, shared: "I learned about the upcoming Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 with the theme 'Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An'. As an art photographer, I and my fellow photographers have registered with the Department of Tourism to participate in this event."
In early June, the rice fields of Tam Coc turn golden yellow, the sky is clear, and the light is beautiful. This is the ideal time to take photos, and I hope to capture some images that I am pleased with and proud of.
Mr. Hoang Tien Hung further added that the Ninh Binh Tourism Week event "Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An" not only attracted photographers in the province but also drew the attention of many photographers from other provinces and cities. His creative group has already received phone calls from many friends in the photography community from both the North and South. We hope this will be an opportunity for us to meet, share experiences, and enjoy the joy of photography.
Photographer Dong Tiep Khac (from Tam Diep city) said: "I have participated in the Ninh Binh Tourism Week for many years. Despite attending many times, every year before the event, I still feel excited, looking forward to the day I will participate, to meet and interact with fellow photographers from many places. Of course, each year I also have to ponder and think about a unique creative idea, so as not to repeat myself in my works. Each year the Ninh Binh Tourism Week is also another personal challenge for me. Each year, coming to Tam Coc brings a different feeling…"
According to Mr. Pham Tuan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Association of Literature and Arts: The photography department of the Ninh Binh Provincial Association of Literature and Arts currently has 29 members, including 10 authors who are members of the Central Association. This is the main force of photography belonging to the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts participating in the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024.
Ninh Binh province boasts beautiful natural landscapes, with many famous scenic spots. This provides a rich source of inspiration and creative resources for photographers.
Around the theme of Tam Coc and Trang An, many Ninh Binh photographers have won awards in photography competitions: "Countryside Notes" by Ninh Manh Thang won the Encouragement Prize at the 2014 ASEAN Community International Art Photography Competition; "Golden Afternoon in Tam Coc" by Ninh Manh Thang won Third Prize at the 2013 National Art Photography Exhibition; "Spring in Tam Coc" by Pham Thi Duyen won the FIAP Bronze Medal in 2024; "Trang An Festival" by Duong Duy Khang won the International Gold Medal in Bosnia in 2018; "Water Procession at Hoa Lu Festival" by Truong Huy won the FIAP Gold Medal in Serbia in 2022; "Trang An Landscape" by Vu Duc Phuong won Third Prize in the Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper's photography competition in 2015...
The Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024, themed "The Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An," is a unique annual tourism event of the province, and also one of the activities in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site (2014-2024). The organizers hope that through the Tourism Week, they will enhance the promotion and introduction of Ninh Binh's tourism products and services to domestic and international tourists, while affirming Ninh Binh's tourism brand as a unique, safe, friendly, high-quality, and attractive destination.
