Linking to promote tourism development

Recognizing tourism linkages as a crucial task, tourism businesses and organizations have actively coordinated between businesses and between businesses and localities to develop inter-regional product packages, maximizing the diverse tourism potential and the existing, integrated transportation infrastructure.

Representatives from the Hotel Association and the Travel Association signed the commitment.

Early April 2025,   The Quang Ninh Hotel and Travel Association (under the Provincial Tourism Association) organized a seminar titled "Solutions for Connecting Hotel and Travel Services in Quang Ninh," discussing solutions for connecting and cooperating in business to attract tourists and promote close links in the tourism supply chain. Participating units shared solutions for connecting and cooperating in business, including: market trends, tourist needs; room demand at accommodation establishments and travel agencies; advantages and difficulties in the linkage process, etc.   The participating units have jointly developed and standardized accommodation and dining service packages, maintaining reasonable prices while ensuring the best quality service for tourists. Members of the Hotel Association will proactively focus on diversifying products and services and investing in infrastructure. Members of the Travel Association will seek out customers and develop tour routes connecting to accommodation establishments. In addition, member units of both associations will have their own pricing policies, offering each other incentives, and prioritizing the use of services from partner establishments.

Mr. Le Viet Ha, Director of Luxury Tours travel company, said: "In recent years, many new tourist destinations have emerged in the northern region, increasing competition in the area. The collaboration between travel agencies and hotels in particular, and between different departments of the tourism industry in general, is a suitable solution, creating strong links and stimulating tourism demand in the locality. These linkages will create a sustainable tourism market. One of the company's requirements for accommodation establishments is to provide high-quality services at reasonable prices. In addition, they aim to enhance the visitor experience, create new products, and maximize the use of hotel infrastructure to ensure the best possible experience for tourists. Travel agencies, for their part, should proactively introduce and recommend hotels to their clients, and utilize the services that hotels offer."

To ensure sustainable and long-term partnerships, accommodation establishments are also proactively developing services and keeping pace with digital transformation trends. Ms. Tran Thi Lieu, Deputy General Director of Hoang Gia Ha Long Hotel, shared: "To improve service quality, I hope that establishments will quickly adapt to the digital transformation trend, continuously improve the quality of human resources, and directly train staff to participate in the operation of digital transformation within the establishment. At the same time, they should strongly and regularly promote the quality of services on mass media and social networks, and regularly update information on stimulus policies and special programs so that locals and tourists are aware of them."

In the current context, linkages are considered one of the important directions for the recovery and development of tourism and the effective implementation of Government Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP on key tasks and solutions to accelerate the recovery and development of tourism effectively and sustainably. Following this direction, Quang Ninh province has linked and expanded cooperation in tourism development with provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Ha Nam, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, and southern localities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho.

During the 2024-2025 period, Quang Ninh, along with seven other provinces and cities in the Northeast, strengthened coordination with Ho Chi Minh City to provide and exchange information on long-term planning, tourism development, and operational trends. Based on the development potential of each locality, the collaborative group selected new and distinctive tourism products to introduce to tourism businesses for exploitation and promotion to domestic and international tourists; connecting businesses between provinces and cities to conduct surveys and develop tourism tours and routes.

In early April 2025, Quang Ninh province   Working with travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City, we will provide information on new tourism products, new destinations, and short-term and long-term tourism development plans for Quang Ninh, tailored to each agency's strengths in attracting domestic tourists, international tourists, and high-end cruise ship passengers .

These direct tourism promotion events not only introduce traditional tourism products as well as new tourism products and destinations that Quang Ninh province has developed in Bai Tu Long Bay; connect the chain of destinations linking the World Natural Heritage site of Ha Long Bay with Yen Tu after its UNESCO World Heritage status; and promote tourism in border areas, but also provide an opportunity for the Quang Ninh tourism industry to listen to the opinions and suggestions of travel businesses on communicating with tourists, building tours that suit current trends; coordinating the promotion of tourism images through films; and boosting tourism through sports, music, festivals, and cultural events.

Mr. Nguyen The Hue, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association, said: The Association in particular and the tourism industry in general have always been proactive in linking tourism with ministries, sectors, businesses, and localities nationwide. In particular, tourism promotion and marketing have been carried out very early. Many survey and networking delegations have visited localities in the province to learn about tourism products, service quality, and prices. The Association also proactively connects tourist destinations and areas, builds a network of linkages between service providers in transportation, accommodation, and restaurants to reduce costs and prices; develops promotional programs to attract tourists; introduces new tourism products of Quang Ninh; and encourages businesses in the province to have programs to stimulate demand and offer discounts suitable for large groups, combining many attractive and high-class service packages to attract tourists.
