| Employees of Bac Kan Forestry One-Member Limited Company are tending to the pine hill plantation under the company's second-year partnership. |
This policy was approved by the People's Committee of Bac Kan province (before the restructuring) in 2024, with the goal of planting 350 to 550 hectares of new forest each year. The tree species to be planted include: 900 hectares of pine, 1,100 hectares of acacia, and 50 hectares of cinnamon.
The collaborative reforestation project aims to establish concentrated, high-quality raw material areas, striving for sustainable forest management certification (FSC), and serving deep processing and export. The project aims to improve economic efficiency per unit area, with a minimum harvest yield of 150 m³/ha.
The reforestation areas are located in the communes of Phong Quang, Bach Thong, Cam Giang, Thanh Thinh, Thanh Mai, Tran Phu, Con Minh, Cho Ra, and Phuc Loc.
The total investment for the entire phase is 308 billion VND, of which Bac Kan Forestry One-Member Limited Company covers 91 billion VND for technical labor, design documentation, inspection, acceptance, and technical supervision from planting to clear-cutting; the remaining 217 billion VND is invested by partner enterprises, including the cost of seedlings, materials, and labor from planting to harvesting.
In 2025, the program aims to plant 562 hectares of new trees; over 160 hectares have already been planted, and the reforestation plan is expected to be completed by August.
The collaborative activities are implemented according to the principles of transparent finance, clearly defining responsibilities, obligations, and production plans between the parties, in order to ensure efficiency throughout the entire chain of planting and harvesting forest raw materials.
