The fire, which broke out on the afternoon of June 21st in the pine forest area of Hamlet 1, Thien Nhan Commune, quickly spread due to prolonged hot weather, high temperatures, low humidity, and strong southwest winds. The hilly terrain and thick, dry undergrowth caused the flames to flare up intensely at times, posing significant difficulties for rescue forces in accessing and controlling the fire.

The 4th Military Region Command deployed dozens of officers and soldiers from the 414th Engineering Brigade along with numerous vehicles; the Nghe An Provincial Military Command supplemented the effort with 60 officers and soldiers from the 764th Regiment to control the fire. Military forces organized reconnaissance and maneuvered flexibly between hotspots, coordinating closely with the police, forest rangers, and local forces, simultaneously opening firebreaks, cordoning off and isolating the fire area, and extinguishing the fire from multiple directions.
On the slopes of Thien Nhan mountain, amidst the scorching heat of nearly 40 degrees Celsius, the soldiers' footsteps never cease. Sweat soaks their clothes, smoke and flames engulf the forest, but the forces persevere, holding their positions, guarding the forest through the night, protecting the safety of the people and state property.

After more than a day and a night of continuous fighting, many large fires have been basically brought under control. However, due to the still complex weather conditions, forces are continuing to maintain personnel at the scene, expanding firebreaks, and thoroughly dealing with smoldering fires to prevent them from reigniting.
Amidst the "sea of fire" at Thien Nhan, the image of soldiers and functional forces steadfastly holding their ground, coordinating seamlessly with the people, clearly demonstrated their sense of responsibility, will to overcome difficulties, and determination to preserve the greenness of their homeland's forests.
