Two strong contenders enter the final match.
On the morning of June 28th, the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 officially announced the two best fireworks teams that have qualified to participate in the final night.
According to the unanimous decision of the judging panel, which included artists, art experts, and the international consulting firm Global2000, the Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd team ( China ) and the Macedos Pirotecnia team (Portugal) were the two representatives who overcame many strong competitors to advance to the final competition.
The results were determined based on a comprehensive evaluation system, encompassing everything from the concept and theme to the creativity in the performance design, fireworks effects, and integration with music, as well as the ability to evoke emotions and leave a lasting impression on both the judges and the audience.
This result accurately reflects the professional quality of this season, with each night's competition delivering high-class performances, making the competition unpredictable until the very last minute.

As the reigning champion of DIFF 2025, the Chinese team continued to demonstrate its position as one of the world's leading fireworks powerhouses with its "Oriental Flower" performance.
The performance impressed with its ability to tell a story through light, combining multiple layers of fireworks effects to transform the sky over the Han River into a dazzling artistic stage.
The continuously escalating rhythm, dynamic color shifts, and explosive highlights created an emotionally rich performance that received high praise from the judging panel and the large audience.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese team continues to assert its unique style after having previously won the "Most Creative" award at DIFF 2025.
The team's strength lies in its poetic and artistically European-inspired performances. The fireworks displays are staged like a symphony of light, harmoniously combining music, color, and rhythm to convey an emotionally charged story.
In particular, during the competition night with the theme "Vision," the Portuguese team made a strong impression by recreating the image of Vietnam's bamboo groves against the backdrop of the song "The Bloodline of Lac Hong," evoking deep emotions in the audience. Their ability to utilize the sky and many innovative effects made them one of the strongest contenders for the championship this year.

DIFF continues to affirm its position as an international-level festival.
According to the organizers, DIFF 2026 is a special season, bringing together the world's leading fireworks teams with outstanding professional quality.
With the gap between the competing teams narrowed, each night's performance felt like a true final. The consistently elaborate performances, showcasing technical skill, creative ideas, and artistic flair, contributed to the festival's unique appeal.
For many consecutive nights, the DIFF stands were packed, reflecting the festival's growing appeal to locals and domestic and international tourists.
Beyond being a unique cultural and entertainment event, DIFF is also becoming an important driving force for strong growth in Da Nang tourism during the summer.
The fact that DIFF was honored by the prestigious travel magazine Travel + Leisure as one of the Top 9 most worthwhile festivals on the planet further enhances the image of the city on the Han River as a destination for international events, a place where unique cultural, artistic, and tourism experiences converge.
According to Major General, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, President of the Vietnam Musicians Association and a member of the judging panel, the professional quality of this year's DIFF surprised even the judging panel on several occasions.
He noted that both the Chinese and Portuguese teams have consistently innovated each season, bringing many creative ideas, modern techniques, and new display effects. This shows that DIFF has truly become a creative playground for the world's fireworks art.

Immediately after the results were announced, the organizers also conducted a draw to determine the performance order in the final night.
Accordingly, the Portuguese team will kick off first, followed by the Chinese team.
With the theme "Connecting Horizons," the grand finale is expected to be not only a competition for the championship but also a spectacular artistic performance, conveying the aspirations for integration, connection, and development of Da Nang city.
The organizers also announced the DIFF 2026 prize system with attractive values, including a Grand Prize of $20,000, a Runner-up Prize of $10,000, and a Most Popular Team award voted by the audience worth $5,000.
Notably, given the consistent and outstanding quality of the competing teams this year, the organizers decided to add two new awards: the Innovation Award and the Promising Award, each worth $5,000, to recognize outstanding artistic ideas.

DIFF 2026 lights up Da Nang's summer tourism season.
With just over 10 days to prepare, the two best teams will compete in a decisive match to find the champion of DIFF 2026. The final night will take place at 8:10 PM on July 11th and will be broadcast live on VTV1.
Concluding a festival season that was considered successful both professionally and in terms of its impact on the tourism industry, DIFF 2026 continues to affirm its role as an international event brand of Da Nang, contributing to promoting the image of the dynamic, modern, and attractive city to friends both domestically and internationally.
