| It's highly likely that the iPhone 16 Pro will not feature a solid-state button. |
Initially, the iPhone 15 Pro was touted as the first product to feature a solid-state button. However, Apple faced "unresolved technical issues before mass production could begin."
This forced the tech giant to revert to using mechanical buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro. Jeff Pu also added that Apple won't be able to fix this problem anytime soon, making the inclusion of solid buttons on the iPhone 16 Pro impossible.
Previously, analyst Ross Young from Display Supply Chain Consultants also revealed that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max would have increased screen sizes to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively.
In addition, some leaked sources suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro Max will not differ significantly in width from its predecessor. Instead, the product will be designed to be longer to provide a more comfortable grip.
According to MacRumors , the rear camera system on the iPhone 16 series will be arranged vertically, similar to the iPhone 12 generation. This change will apply to both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus versions.
The iPhone 16 product line is expected to still include two models: standard and Pro. The iPhone 16 Pro will be equipped with the A18 Bionic processor, manufactured using TSMC's 3nm process. The standard iPhone 16 version will use the A17 Bionic chip, manufactured using TSMC's N3B process.
