Her lullabies were warm and sweet, soothing Bi to sleep and helping her drift into peaceful dreams. For her, lullabies were not just a way to soothe her grandchild to sleep, but also an expression of boundless love, a connecting thread between two generations.

One day, Grandma was busy and couldn't lull Bi to sleep as usual, so she asked Grandpa for help. He was a little flustered because he had never lulled his grandchild to sleep before. He didn't know what to sing to help the child fall asleep. The gentle, sweet lullabies Grandma usually sang weren't his forte. After thinking for a while, he suddenly remembered the multiplication table he had memorized since childhood. Without hesitation, he began to sing: "Oh, oh, two times one is two, two times two is four, two times three is six... Oh, oh, three times one is three, three times two is six... Oh, oh, oh..."
His lullaby wasn't as melodious as hers, but it was slow, rhythmic, and carried the warm, comforting tone of a loving grandfather. Surprisingly, little Bi, who had been crying, suddenly fell silent, her eyes half-closed, and she drifted into a peaceful sleep. Grandpa was both surprised and delighted; he never imagined that the multiplication table could be such an effective lullaby! Looking at his granddaughter sleeping soundly in his arms, he smiled happily, his heart overflowing with love.
When my grandmother came home and heard my grandfather tell the story of lulling the baby to sleep with the multiplication table, she burst out laughing.
- My grandchild will know the multiplication table by heart even before kindergarten!
Grandpa smiled too. Although he wasn't as familiar with soothing lullabies as Grandma, he had found his own way to comfort his grandchild. Whether it was the multiplication table or a traditional lullaby, and although the way they soothed their grandchild might differ, the important thing was that the love grandparents have for their grandchild remains complete and warm.
From that day on, whenever Grandma was busy, Grandpa would continue to lull Bi to sleep in his own way. And every time, Bi would obediently drift off to sleep to the soothing sound of Grandpa's recitation of the multiplication table.
Little Bi will surely not remember these lullabies when she grows up, but the love of her grandparents will stay with her throughout her life, a warm anchor in her soul.
