The historic floods that have lasted for the past few days have caused heavy losses of life and property to many families and localities in the eastern part of the province.

Blankets, warm clothes, hats, sandals, and essential items such as ready-made food, drinking water, instant noodles, boiled eggs, and sticky rice cakes... have been actively collected by the government, officials, and people of various localities and units. This is a timely act of sharing, demonstrating the spirit of mutual support and compassion at a time when people in flood-affected areas are truly in need of help.

Mr. Tran Xuan Quyen, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ea Tul commune, said: With the goal of supporting people in flood-affected areas, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ea Tul commune has opened a point for collecting and receiving relief goods and cash right at its headquarters.

As of 12 PM on November 23rd, the unit had received 5,928 packages of essential goods along with over 170 million VND in cash. This is a gesture of kindness from officials, civil servants, workers, philanthropists, and the people in the commune.

All the money and donated items have been transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province. The commune is also continuing to call for support to help affected families repair their homes and ensure meals in the coming days.

In addition to the money and essential supplies mentioned above, the people of Ea Tul commune have also mobilized resources and directly gone to the affected areas. This shows that, in times of difficulty, the people in the area always stand side by side with the local government, focusing on community support.

In Cu M'gar commune, Mr. Yuot Ayun, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, said: Upholding the spirit of solidarity, the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front of the commune has issued a notice, calling on all people, organizations, and businesses in the area to join hands in supporting the people affected by floods in the eastern part of the province.

Immediately after the announcement, many organizations and individuals came together to pool money, food, and supplies, and even volunteered to transport goods to the isolated areas.

As of November 23rd, the locality had mobilized 484 boxes of bottled water, 76 boxes of instant noodles, 50kg of rice, and 209 million VND in cash. This was contributed by officials and people of Cu M'gar, as well as charitable organizations and individuals both within and outside the commune.

Although the recent historic floods did not significantly affect the lives and production activities of the people in Ea Kiet commune, with a spirit of mutual support, the government, the Fatherland Front, associations, people, and philanthropists have unanimously donated essential goods and food to support the affected communes and wards.

According to Mr. Vo Sy Tung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Kiet commune, statistics show that so far the commune has mobilized 4 tons of essential goods and 140 million VND in cash. All of this money and essential goods were handed over to the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee this afternoon to be distributed to people in need.

In collaboration with local authorities, over the past few days, hundreds of officials and civil servants from the Industry and Trade sector have closely coordinated with officers and soldiers of the 198th Special Forces Brigade and the Mobile Police of Dak Lak Provincial Police to directly participate in packaging, coordinating, and transporting goods to each household.

According to Mr. Mai Manh Toan, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, due to prolonged heavy rains and floods, most people in the affected areas are suffering from cold, hunger, and their houses have collapsed or been submerged.

Therefore, the Department of Industry and Trade urgently called upon and mobilized collectives and individuals inside and outside the unit to gather essential goods and quickly transport them to affected families.
