A necessary choice for green development.

For many years now, energy transition has ceased to be an option and has become a mandatory requirement for all countries.

In the context of dwindling fossil fuel resources, constantly fluctuating global energy prices, and increasingly stringent emission reduction commitments, the widespread use of E10 gasoline in Vietnam from June 1, 2026, is a step in line with global development trends and marks an important milestone in Vietnam's green energy transition roadmap.

For Vietnam, E10 gasoline has significance beyond just environmental concerns. Each liter of E10 replaces 10% of conventional gasoline with bioethanol, significantly reducing the need to import fossil fuels, increasing energy self-sufficiency, and expanding the potential for the development of the domestic biofuel industry. This forms the foundation for building a greener economy that is more resilient to global fluctuations.

Looking back after 10 days of the widespread rollout of E10 gasoline, it's clear that the supply is stable, the distribution system is operating smoothly, and no serious incidents related to fuel quality have been recorded. However, online debates also show that the biggest challenge currently lies not in technology or infrastructure, but in market confidence. This is not surprising. Previously, the mandatory helmet use for motorcycles and the rollout of E5 gasoline also faced similar concerns. This time, with E10 gasoline, questions such as: "Will the vehicle consume more fuel?", "Will the engine be affected?", "Will it cause engine failure or reduce the vehicle's lifespan?" are quite common. These concerns have been addressed by many domestic and international technical experts who have confirmed: "Most current vehicles can safely use E10 gasoline when the fuel meets standards and the vehicle is properly maintained"...

Thien Loc has comprehensively fulfilled its military and national defense tasks for the first six months of the year.On the afternoon of June 25th, the People's Committee of Thien Loc commune held a conference to review local military and national defense work for the first six months of the year, and to implement tasks for the last six months of 2026; and to summarize the implementation of the 2018 National Defense Law, the 2019 Militia and Self-Defense Law, and the 2013 Law on National Defense and Security Education.

For E10 gasoline to truly become a crucial link in the national green transition strategy, a comprehensive set of solutions is needed, rather than simply changing products on the market. First and foremost, it is essential to continue ensuring the absolute quality of the fuel and the stability of the supply. This is a prerequisite for building trust. Leading enterprises, blending units, transporters, and retailers must strictly adhere to technical procedures from ethanol storage, blending, warehousing, to distribution. Along with this, a regular monitoring mechanism is necessary to prevent commercial fraud, substandard blending, or the sale of low-quality fuel.

Furthermore, ministries, departments, and localities need to strengthen communication efforts in a more scientific , understandable, and practical manner. In particular, the relevant ministries and departments need to establish a transparent mechanism for receiving and handling feedback. If citizens claim their vehicles experienced problems after using E10 gasoline, a clear inspection process based on fuel purchase receipts, fuel samples, vehicle condition, and technical inspection results is necessary. All feedback should be listened to seriously, but all conclusions must be based on scientific data rather than subjective feelings.

At the macro level, the State needs to continue improving the policy system to support the development of biofuels. Policies on taxes, fees, credit, investment support for blending infrastructure, and raw material development need to be studied comprehensively to create incentives for businesses to participate more deeply in the biofuel value chain. In particular, E10 gasoline should be seen as the starting point for a longer journey. The ultimate goal is not just to replace a portion of fossil gasoline with ethanol, but to gradually build a clean energy ecosystem, progressing towards higher blending levels such as E15, E20, etc.

Every major transformation begins with small changes. With E10 gasoline, that change lies in the awareness of each individual citizen. When science is respected, policies are implemented transparently, and people are provided with complete information, E10 gasoline will not only be a new fuel but also a symbol of the commitment to a green transition and a safe energy future for the country.
