Regarding rice, according to updates from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the price of raw OM 380 rice has increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating between 7,900 - 8,000 VND/kg; raw IR 504 rice fluctuates between 8,150 - 8,200 VND/kg; raw OM 18 rice fluctuates between 9,300 - 9,500 VND/kg; raw 5451 rice fluctuates between 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; finished OM 380 rice fluctuates between 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; and finished IR 504 rice fluctuates between 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.
Regarding by-products, prices fluctuate between 5,550 and 7,300 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice ranges from 7,100 to 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice (3-4 grades) ranges from 6,600 to 6,700 VND/kg; and the price of dry rice bran ranges from 5,550 to 5,700 VND/kg, compared to the beginning of the week.
According to reports from various localities today, the supply of rice is quite good, and prices of all types of rice are relatively stable. In Lap Vo ( Dong Thap ), the supply is quite good, but there is less high-quality rice, and prices are fluctuating slightly; fragrant rice is being purchased consistently by warehouses. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), a large quantity of rice has arrived, mainly fragrant and sticky rice, concentrated in large warehouses; the supply of lower-quality rice is better than yesterday, and prices remain stable.
At Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap province), the amount of rice arriving at the docks is better, warehouses are selecting rice carefully, and prices for all types of rice remain stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang province ), the amount arriving is small, and warehouses are buying slowly.
At retail markets, rice prices remain stable compared to the beginning of the week. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price at 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice fluctuates between 15,000 and 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice ranges from 20,000 to 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice is 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice ranges from 18,000 to 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice is at 17,000 VND/kg; regular Soc rice fluctuates around 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 21,000 VND/kg; and Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.

Observations in many localities today show a good supply and stable buying and selling transactions. In An Giang, farmers are offering high prices for rice, demand is steady, and the market is stable. In Kien Giang, there is good demand for fragrant rice, IR50404, with stable buying and selling transactions and little price fluctuation.
In Can Tho, supply is limited, transactions are sporadic, and most of the land has already been reserved by traders. In Dong Thap, farmers are offering slightly higher prices for various types of rice, with consistent trading and traders securing firm purchase prices. In Long An, demand for fragrant rice is high, transactions are steady, and fragrant rice prices are rising.
On the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices edged up slightly today compared to the end of last week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), the current price for 5% broken rice is $390/ton (an increase of $1/ton); 25% broken rice is $364/ton; and 100% broken rice is $307/ton.
