
Initially, the rescue team identified the victim as a 26-27 year old man trapped inside the Aye Chan Thar Hotel in Naypyidaw, about 20km from the hospital where the Vietnamese team was conducting rescue operations. Immediately, the Vietnam People's Army rescue team dispatched a six-person engineering team to coordinate with Turkish and Myanmar rescue forces to rescue the victim.


When rescuers reached the location where the victim was trapped, he was still able to speak and said he was fine, only lacking food and water. The rescuers were able to get as close as possible to rescue the victim.
More humanitarian relief efforts are being implemented.
As of 4:30 PM on April 2nd (Myanmar time), the Vietnamese People's Police rescue team had searched for and rescued four victims from the rubble on the outskirts of Naypyidaw, handing them over to their families. The last victim found that day was Ms. Daw Thet Thet Mon (56 years old), at 2:43 PM.
Alongside the search and rescue operations, the Vietnam People's Police rescue team assisted the local people with various humanitarian relief activities, such as: setting up numerous tents for people to shelter from the sun and rain, sharing their meager food rations, and encouraging women, the elderly, and children in the areas where the team was present…

Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Director of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) - Head of the working group, said that after 5 days since the 7.7 magnitude earthquake, which caused many houses in the capital Naypyidaw to collapse, tens of thousands of people are living in makeshift shelters, without electricity, clean water, and other necessities as well as medical care.


Following the earthquake, the Taw Win Yadanar schoolyard in Zabuthiri town (Naypyidaw capital) became a temporary shelter. Approximately 200 people are living there in extremely difficult conditions. On April 2nd, a rescue team from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security arrived to set up tents to provide shelter for the residents.
Currently, the medical team of the rescue unit is also providing medical examinations and dispensing medicine to people injured by the earthquake.
Undertaking a new mission, the rescue team coordinated with local units to search for victims at building number 2204 in Zabuthiri town.
