With its effective approach, the Party cell of Lung San village, Lung Than commune, has become a shining example of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings in the Si Ma Cai highlands.

Walking along the newly upgraded road connecting National Highway 4D - Lung Than commune (Si Ma Cai district) with Lung Phinh commune (Bac Ha district), Mr. Sung Seo Chu, Secretary of the Party Branch of Lung San village, proudly said: "This road demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and readiness for the common good of the officials, Party members, and people of Lung San village. The villagers donated 23,141 ^m² of land for this road. Furthermore, officials, Party members, and villagers contributed resources and labor to support the construction, ensuring the road was put into operation early and creating conditions to promote the socio -economic development of the locality."

Mr. Sung Seo Cho, from Lung San village, who donated over 6,000 square meters ^of land for road construction, said that when the government initiated the road construction project, village officials came to promote and encourage the donation, and his entire family unanimously agreed to donate the land.

It is known that, in addition to the road connecting National Highway 4D - Lung Than commune - Lung Phinh commune, in 2023, the people of Lung San village donated a total of 38,366 ^m2 of land to expand roads and build public welfare facilities in the area, such as the inter-village road Lung San - Seng Sui (people donated 6,150 ^m2 of land); the road from Lung San village to Lenh Sui Thang village (people donated 9,075 ^m2 of land); donating land, contributing money, and labor to build the village cultural house…

Not only is the Lung San Party Branch a shining example in land donation and road construction, but it also leads, directs, and mobilizes people to actively engage in labor and production, develop socio-economic conditions, reduce poverty, effectively transform the structure of crops and livestock, and apply scientific and technological advancements to production. This is evidenced by the Lung San Party Branch's guidance and mobilization of people to introduce high-economic-value crops and livestock such as VH6 pears and Ta Van plums, and to develop models for raising black pigs and native poultry. To date, the village has 11.7 hectares of various fruit trees. Many households earn 40-50 million VND per year thanks to the development of these livestock and crop farming models.

Along with mobilizing people to participate in building new rural areas and developing the economy, the Lung San Party Branch also takes care of cultural and social activities and builds self-governing groups to ensure security and order. Implementing the "All People Build a Culturally Rich Life" campaign, Lung San village has developed and signed commitments to implement village regulations and customs with each household, paying particular attention to practicing civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals; maintaining environmental hygiene; and preventing accidents and social evils...

To date, 100% of weddings in the village are held economically, in accordance with the traditions and identity of the ethnic group, without extravagant feasts or gatherings of young people drinking alcohol causing disorder. Funerals are also conducted seriously, with simple ceremonies organized within the family and relatives; outdated customs, superstitions, and irrational beliefs have been completely eradicated. Security and order are stable, community bonds are strong, and for many years there have been no conflicts, complaints to higher authorities, or social vices in the village. People are confident in developing production, and their living standards are constantly improving.

The Party cell of Lung San village has linked the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings with the implementation of political tasks, Party building work, and the construction of a new rural village. In 2023, the average per capita income of Lung San village reached 30 million VND, and the poverty rate in the village decreased by 10.5% compared to 2022. Lung San is the village with the highest poverty reduction rate in Si Ma Cai district.
