A dangerous tackle by Dinh Bac.

Tragedy struck in the 86th minute. In a fierce challenge in the midfield, Dinh Bac, driven by greed, made a studs-up tackle on the South Korean U23 player. The referee did not hesitate to issue a direct red card, ending the match prematurely for the hero of the Vietnamese U23 team.

This red card not only left the red-shirted team playing with ten men in the final minutes, but also opened up the risk of Dinh Bac facing a heavy suspension. If the AFC determines this was a brutal tackle, Dinh Bac could even be banned for up to three matches, similar to the case of Pham Ly Duc previously. A moment of lack of self-control turned joy into great worry for the Vietnam U23 team.

The third-place match unfolded exactly as coach Kim Sang-sik had planned. Vietnam U23 didn't need overwhelming ball control; they simply waited for the right moment to deliver the decisive blow. In the 30th minute, from an attack down the left wing, Dinh Bac delivered a precise cross, allowing Nguyen Quoc Viet to neatly control the ball and unleash a powerful shot to open the scoring. This goal gave the red-shirted team a slender but valuable advantage going into halftime.

In the second half, the South Korean U23 team pushed forward, increasing the pressure with direct attacks. However, the Vietnamese defense held firm until the 69th minute, when a momentary lapse in concentration gave Kim Tae-won the opportunity to equalize.

However, before their opponents could even settle into their game, Dinh Bac made his mark. From a free kick just outside the penalty area, the striker wearing number 7 unleashed a skillful shot over the wall, giving Vietnam U23 the lead for the second time.
