On June 19, Page Six 's exclusive source revealed that Pax Thien has a good relationship with his paternal family and continues to spend time with them.
"He recently went out to dinner with his family and also attended the engagement party of his cousin Sydney (daughter of Doug Pitt - Brad Pitt's brother) and her fiancé Archimede Jerome," the source said.
The source added that Julie Pitt Neal (Brad Pitt's sister), along with her daughter Reagan Pitt and several other family members, were also present at the gathering.

Earlier, on March 9th, Sydney shared a series of photos of her boyfriend proposing on the beach, with the caption: "I said yes (of course)."
A second exclusive source revealed to Page Six that, despite being close to his paternal family, Pax has almost no contact with his famous adoptive father.
Representatives for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have not commented on the information.
To date, Pax Thien is the only child of the "Mr. and Mrs. Smith " couple whose surname "Jolie-Pitt" remains unclear. Some netizens speculate that his good relationship with his paternal family is the reason Pax Thien retains this sole connection with his adoptive father.
Meanwhile, Shiloh is the only child to have her father's surname legally removed. Los Angeles approved the Gen Z dancer's request in 2024.
Maddox and Zahara filed for legal removal of their father's surname this year, but the court date has not yet arrived. Nevertheless, they have both been using their new names, Maddox and Zahara Jolie, in their real lives.
The youngest sister was spotted using the name "Vivienne Jolie" in the production team profile for the musical The Outsiders in 2024.
Knox is the latest child to publicly drop his double surname, with his high school diploma now showing only his last name, "Jolie."
Angelina Jolie has been heavily criticized for her children abandoning their father's surname one after another. Those close to Brad Pitt and many netizens believe that the actress, born in 1975, has "brainwashed" her children, causing them to distance themselves from the Formula 1 star.

In other news, in an interview with Variety on June 17th, Angelina Jolie is believed to have subtly alluded to her tumultuous divorce from Brad Pitt.
"I think my fighting spirit has finally returned. There was a time when I lost it. I was a little depressed, but now it's coming back, largely thanks to my children. They've grown up and are always encouraging me. Now that most of my children are 18, they want to see me travel the world , they want me to go out and do more things. They understand me better than anyone and they still love me, which says a lot. I think my children have pushed me to rediscover aspects of myself that perhaps I didn't feel free enough to pursue before," the actress shared.
