Youth Union branches have implemented many practical youth projects, thereby contributing to improving the appearance of rural areas and raising the living standards of the people.

In Thang Truong commune, implementing the Youth Union's work plan and youth movement for 2026, the commune's Youth Union deployed and completed the youth project "Youth Light" in Tich Yen village. The project was carried out in coordination with the Youth Union of Chu Lai Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Company Limited, with the consensus and active support of local officials and residents.

According to Mr. Ngo Van Tu, Secretary of the Thang Truong Commune Youth Union, the project involves installing 42 solar-powered streetlights on inter-village and inter-hamlet roads. Putting the lighting system into operation not only helps ensure security, order, and traffic safety but also facilitates the movement and daily lives of residents, especially at night.

"This project is of practical significance, demonstrating the proactive and voluntary spirit of youth union members in participating in building advanced new rural areas, while also contributing to the efficient use of clean, environmentally friendly energy sources."

Joy and excitement were also the shared feelings of the people of Tich Yen village when their familiar country roads were illuminated every night. Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Duoc, from group 2, Tich Yen village, shared: “Since the lighting system was installed, people's travel has become much more convenient. Not only has it improved the quality of life, but the project also brings a sense of security, especially at night, contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.”

In Hiep Duc commune, rural lighting projects are also being actively implemented by local youth. The Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Hiep Duc commune has implemented the youth project "Lighting up rural roads" using solar energy in An Dong and Binh Hoa villages.

According to Mr. Huynh Duc Tu, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hiep Duc commune, the project, worth a total of 55 million VND, was implemented through social mobilization efforts, with contributions from businesses and philanthropists. The solar-powered streetlights installed on rural roads contribute to improving the travel and living conditions of residents at night, especially during the period leading up to the Lunar New Year.

According to Mr. Tú, the project not only has immediate significance but also aims for long-term goals. The use of solar energy contributes to promoting the use of alternative energy sources, minimizing environmental impact, and moving towards sustainable development. At the same time, the project provides residents with a bright, clean, and beautiful road for safer travel and a warmer Lunar New Year celebration.”

According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Duan, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union and President of the City Youth Federation, the "Youth Lighting" and "Rural Road Lighting" projects not only change the face of rural areas but also contribute to raising the sense of responsibility of Youth Union members and young people towards the community. The illuminated roads have reduced traffic accidents and social vices, enhanced security and order, and created favorable conditions for people to work, produce, and develop the economy with peace of mind.

Besides their social welfare significance, these projects also contribute to strengthening people's trust in the Youth Union, spreading the spirit of solidarity and pioneering spirit of young people in participating in building a brighter, greener, cleaner, and more beautiful homeland. Through this, they affirm the role of Youth Union members and young people in implementing national target programs, building new rural areas, and achieving sustainable development.
