On the afternoon of March 21st, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Phuoc commune (Mang Thit district) solemnly held a ceremony to announce that the commune has achieved the New Rural Area standard in 2024. This is the 11th commune in Mang Thit district to announce that it has achieved the New Rural Area standard, bringing the total number of communes in the district that have met the New Rural Area standard to 100%.

To date, the economy of Binh Phuoc commune continues to develop, the material and spiritual lives of the people are constantly improving, and transportation infrastructure is increasingly being invested in and perfected. Residential housing has been expanded and upgraded, raising the percentage of houses meeting standards to 97.83%.
88.29% of households use tap water from the centralized water supply system. The multidimensional poverty rate has decreased to 0.74%. Average per capita income reached 59.12 million VND/year. Political security and social order and safety are maintained and stable.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Quyet, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Mang Thit District, noted that Binh Phuoc commune should uphold the spirit of unity and solidarity within the entire Party committee, promote democracy, and ensure that the people truly become the main actors in building new rural areas. In addition, it should continue to improve essential infrastructure systems, creating conditions for socio-economic development and increasing the level of direct access to services for rural residents such as transportation, electricity, and water.
At the same time, we will promote the application of science and technology in production to improve the productivity and quality of crops and livestock; create a linked chain from production to consumption of agricultural products; and connect it with the development of rural industries, creating more new jobs and increasing people's income.
