According to Engadget , the horror game collection Layers of Fear has an official release date of June 15th for multiple platforms, notably including Apple's Mac computers.
However, the game will only be available on Macs using recently manufactured Apple silicon chips. Despite the limitations, this demonstrates Apple's efforts to expand its ambitions in the video game market.
Layers of Fear will also be coming to Macs using Apple's Silicon chips.
The upcoming collection will include full remakes of Layers of Fear and Layers of Fear 2 , which will include expansions (DLCs) for both games and an original chapter exclusive to this release.
The Layers of Fear remakes receive several notable upgrades, with each game redesigned using Unreal Engine 5, providing players with the most advanced graphics experience currently available. However, it remains unknown whether the Mac version will receive modern techniques such as Ray Tracing. Developer Bloober Team has stated that they have fully utilized Apple's proprietary Metal 3 technology in game development.
Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno stated, "Apple's silicon has transformed Mac gaming, delivering incredible graphics performance, new capabilities, and exceptional battery life."
In addition to the Mac platform, the Layers of Fear anthology will also be released on PC (via Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Bloober Team has announced they will also be bringing the Xbox exclusive game The Medium to Apple Macs later this summer. The number of newer games available for Macs is still relatively small compared to other platforms, however, Apple's devices have recently received some notable releases such as Resident Evil Village .
Additionally, several other games such as Grid Legends and No Man's Sky have been announced for the platform but have yet to be released.
