MC Xuan Hieu: "The entrepreneurial journey at An Group has taught me many valuable lessons."

MC Xuan Hieu is a familiar name to television viewers, having hosted numerous programs of varying sizes across the country for 16 years. Let's chat with MC Xuan Hieu about her interesting career shift!

Besides being an MC, Xuan Hieu also takes on several other roles such as lecturer, editor, and is always wholeheartedly dedicated to charitable work. His kind face, gentle smile, and benevolent personality always endear him to those he meets. However, when he enters the business world, the Silver Swallow Award winner Xuan Hieu is also incredibly strong and independent.

* Hello MC Xuan Hieu! You're busy with many roles such as MC, lecturer, editor… why did you suddenly venture into the business world?

- I believe everything happens for a reason. With the work I'm currently doing, I'm already too busy with my own time. Even so, deep down, I've always wished to produce my own programs, to do more in the fields of media, entertainment, and education that I'm passionate about, and to contribute more to society through the charitable activities I've been nurturing. And to realize those dreams, I think there's no other way than to establish my own business, and An Group Media Co., Ltd. was officially founded on November 11, 2020.

* It is known that An Group is Xuan Hieu's "brainchild," but it was born right when the Covid-19 pandemic was unfolding in a complex manner. At that time, what motivated her to strongly steer the An Group ship through the storm?

- I'm someone who doesn't like blaming circumstances and always seeks positive energy from life. Furthermore, besides being fortunate to receive support and encouragement from my family, especially my husband, I also have a team of skilled and enthusiastic staff, along with support from colleagues at television stations, businesses, and friends who have trusted me and An Group, giving us many opportunities to work together even when An Group was still very young.

* Being an artist can sometimes be very sensitive to everything. Do you think you are rational and strong enough to face the challenges in the business world?

- I am a very emotional person, but also very rational. When I embarked on my business career, I always reminded myself that the motto I set for my company is "Build a Brand - Maintain Peace of Mind," always striving to earn the trust and confidence of customers and partners in everything we do. To achieve this, I must be mature in my thinking and actions, not viewing or solving problems based on emotions, but with careful consideration.

* Which entrepreneurial role model has had a strong influence on your entrepreneurial journey?

- The person who has influenced me the most throughout my entrepreneurial journey, from the very beginning until now, is none other than my husband. He is not only my husband, but also my brother and friend, always listening and sharing with me whenever I need him, no matter what the matter is. With his 20 years of experience, I believe that I don't need to look far for guidance; learning directly from him, a real person with real experience, will help me grow faster.

* Besides An Group, we understand you also founded the Happy House educational and entertainment complex in your hometown of Dong Thap . Could you share a little about your passion for this complex?

- As a lecturer teaching skills-based subjects and also a mother, I realize that early education in physical, mental, and life skills for children from preschool age is essential. Therefore, together with my dear colleagues, I have gradually built the Happy House educational and recreational complex (a member unit of An Group) in Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province, as a token of gratitude to my hometown.

* You recently released your book, "Youth Is Not Just a Moment." As an author, are you planning to venture into writing?

- I had no intention of branching out into other fields. It's simply that my recently released memoir, " Youthful Years, " is an opportunity for me to share my experiences and memories of my time as an MC with readers. The book is also a "gift" marking my 16th anniversary as an MC.
