In the early hours of December 7th (Vietnam time), Inter Miami officially made history by defeating Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 in the final to win the MLS Cup for the first time. Following the historic victory, superstar Lionel Messi couldn't hide his overwhelming emotions, sharing his immense happiness.

Since arriving in the US, Messi has transformed Inter Miami from an average team into a non-European national champion. Speaking with a choked voice, the Argentine captain expressed:

"This is truly an indescribable joy. This has been one of our biggest goals since we arrived here. Right after arriving, I won the Leagues Cup. This year the team has had a fantastic season, competing in all the competitions we've participated in."

Messi stated that winning the MLS championship was Inter Miami's ultimate goal this season. With the prestigious MLS Cup, the team owned by former football legend David Beckham completed their first three years with resounding success and a string of titles.

For Messi personally, the recently won MLS Cup is his third official title with Inter Miami, following the 2024 Supporters' Shield and the 2023 League Cup.

Furthermore, this is the 48th time Messi has lifted a trophy in his professional career. With this record number, the Argentine star continues to solidify his position as the player with the most trophies in football history, far surpassing his former teammate Dani Alves (43 times).

This victory not only brought Messi his first national title outside of Europe, but also demonstrated that his influence and greatness remain intact even in the twilight of his career.
