Meta is about to launch its own AI-powered search engine.

The source revealed that Meta's tool will use AI to provide content summaries to be searched and integrated into the Meta AI chatbot. This move is said to be Meta's attempt to reduce its dependence on Google and Microsoft.

A team of engineers worked for eight months to build the chatbot's database, the source said, adding that Meta also created location data to compete with Google Maps.
