Sources reveal that Meta's tool will use AI to provide content summaries and integrate it into the Meta AI chatbot. This move is seen as Meta's attempt to reduce its reliance on Google and Microsoft.
This chatbot has now been integrated into Instagram and Facebook, and uses Google Search and Microsoft Bing to answer questions about recent news and events. However, this may change when Meta launches its new search engine.
Sources indicate that a team of engineers worked for eight months to build the chatbot's database. Additionally, Meta also created location data to compete with Google Maps.
Meta has not yet commented on the matter.
