According to Engadget , the gaming industry is abuzz with a new rumor that Microsoft is developing a white, disc-less version of the Xbox Series X, likely to be released soon.

According to leaked images published by Explorer and documents obtained by The Verge, the design of this new Xbox Series X version is almost identical to the current black version, the only difference being the absence of a physical disc drive. Additionally, the device's surface is finished in 'robot white' paint, similar to the white Xbox Series S console.

If this information is accurate, Microsoft may delay the launch of the upgraded Xbox Series X with a new design.

This isn't the first time rumors about a white, disc-less Xbox Series X have surfaced. Last month, Explorer also reported that Microsoft plans to launch this version sometime in June or July of this year at a price $50-$100 lower than the current Xbox Series X.
