Last night and early this morning (June 15th), the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places receiving very heavy rainfall exceeding 90mm, such as Minh Son 2 (Tuyen Quang) 153.2mm, Dinh Phung ( Cao Bang ) 105.2mm, and Bang Thanh (Thai Nguyen) 92.6mm.

Today's forecast indicates little rain in the mountainous and midland areas of Northern Vietnam. From late afternoon and tonight until the night of June 16th, these areas will experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 50-120mm, and some places receiving very heavy rain exceeding 200mm.

On June 17th, both day and night, the mountainous and midland areas of Northern Vietnam continued to experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 20-60mm, and some areas receiving over 150mm. Heavy rain is forecast to continue in this area on June 18th and 19th.

Prolonged heavy rain in the mountainous and midland areas of Northern Vietnam could cause flash floods and landslides in mountainous regions, and flooding in low-lying areas. The meteorological agency warns that water levels on rivers in Northern Vietnam could rise by 2-4 meters due to continued heavy rainfall in the coming days.

Today, the Northern Delta region will experience hot weather with temperatures reaching 35-36 degrees Celsius. In the late afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain, with rainfall amounts ranging from 20-40mm, and in some places exceeding 90mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
