According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF), today's heatwave reached new record highs, with the highest daily temperature exceeding 42 degrees Celsius. Specifically, the highest temperatures recorded were 42.2 degrees Celsius in Tay Hieu ( Nghe An province ), 42.1 degrees Celsius in Con Cuong; 41.7 degrees Celsius in Quy Hop, 41.5 degrees Celsius in Quy Chau, 41.4 degrees Celsius in Do Luong, 40.8 degrees Celsius in Vinh, and 40.2 degrees Celsius in Quynh Luu.
