Milan won the match where the 15-year-old prodigy set a record.

Italian Francesco Camarda became the youngest player to ever play in Serie A when AC Milan beat Fiorentina 1-0 in Serie A's 13th round on November 25th.

A wave of injuries in the attacking line has left Milan without three forwards: Olivier Giroud, Rafael Leao, and Noah Okafor. Coach Stefano Pioli therefore had to call up the prodigy Camarda to the first team for the match against Fiorentina. The 15-year-old, just 260 days old, made history in Serie A as the youngest player to ever appear in the league. The previous record belonged to Bologna's central defender Wisdom Amey in 2021, at 15 years and 274 days old.

Camarda is only 15 years old but already has over 30,000 followers on Instagram, thanks to his sensational performances at youth level, scoring over 400 goals, averaging 4-6 goals per game. When Camarda came on as a substitute for Luka Jovic in the 83rd minute of the match against Fiorentina, Milan were under pressure from the visitors. The home team allowed Fiorentina 17 shots in the second half, but still managed to hold on 1-0 until the end of the match.

Earlier, Milan played well in the first 45 minutes and took the lead at the end of the half. Fabiano Parisi fouled Theo Hernandez in the penalty area in injury time, and the French defender successfully converted the penalty to score the only goal of the match. The victory helped Pioli's team end a run of four consecutive draws and losses in Serie A, thus narrowing the gap with league leaders Inter to three points.

Just behind Milan in the top four is Napoli, who beat Atalanta 2-1 shortly after changing managers. Coach Walter Mazzarri had a smooth start in his second stint at the club after 10 years, despite leaving key striker Victor Osimhen on the bench. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia gave Napoli the lead at the end of the first half, before Elif Elmas sealed the 2-1 victory for the visitors in the 79th minute.

The victory gives Napoli 24 points after 13 rounds, placing them fourth. Mazzarri's team extended their lead over fifth-placed Atalanta to five points and are seven points behind league leaders Inter Milan.
