Opening the peach blossom festival in the border region.

Lang Son province is organizing the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival and a series of activities celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 with the theme "The Beauty of Lang Son Peach Blossoms - Connecting All Directions".

According to the organizers, the 2026 Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival aims to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026), while also honoring the value of the peach tree – a symbol of spring, vitality, and the traditional cultural beauty of this border region.

The highlight of the series of events is the opening ceremony of the Lang Son Peach Blossom Festival, held on the evening of February 7th on Hung Vuong Street, Luong Van Tri Ward ( Lang Son City). The program features a large-scale fireworks display combining high and low altitudes, the biggest ever in the province, along with an artistic program featuring many singers.

Within the framework of the festival, Lang Son organizes many cultural, sports , and tourism activities such as: decorating the spring flower street, promoting the peach blossoms of Lang Son; a competition and exhibition of beautiful peach blossom trees; a Peach Blossom Fair combined with sightseeing and experiences; the "Peach Blossom Route" running race; and the 2026 Lang Son Peach Blossom Painting Contest.

Alongside these are a series of cultural and artistic activities: a film screening celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year; a campaign to encourage wearing traditional costumes of ethnic groups in Lang Son province; a thematic exhibition on "Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO Global Geopark Lang Son"; the Lang Son Spring Newspaper Festival 2026; the Lantern Festival Poetry Day; the Then, Sli, and Luon singing festival; the expanded Lang Son Chau Van performance festival; the Lion Dance Club competition; the "Sounds of Lang Son" art program; and an art exchange between Lang Son and the Bang Tuong Art Troupe (Guangxi, China)...

Many cultural and artistic activities are also organized during this time.

The festival, which runs until March 16th, aims to create a cultural and tourism space rich in identity, enhance tourism promotion and development, contribute to the development of tourism, services, and local socio-economic development, and make Lang Son an attractive destination during the spring travel season.
