During the meeting, ACV representatives proposed several strategic cooperation programs, including: improving the airport's surrounding transportation infrastructure; promoting the expansion of international routes from Hue to China (Chengdu), South Korea (Incheon), Japan, etc.; enhancing the promotion of Hue as a destination at international events such as Routes World, ITB Berlin, ITE Ho Chi Minh City, etc.; boosting communication through digital aviation platforms like Routes 360; and supporting local promotion through sister airport networks. ACV also committed to preferential policies for airlines operating new international routes in Hue, such as: reducing ground handling fees by up to 50% for the first two years and providing marketing support of up to 200 million VND per route.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Nguyen Thanh Binh, thanked ACV for proposing practical cooperation directions that align with the local development needs. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh acknowledged that although Terminal 2 has been completed and facilitates operations, the number of flights, especially international flights, has not yet met expectations. The city aims to soon have its first international flight, and subsequently expand domestic routes to create momentum for economic and tourism development.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh also requested ACV to closely coordinate with Hue to concretize support policies and promotional programs to attract investment, aligning with the orientation of becoming a regional and international center for culture, tourism, and specialized healthcare . He also suggested increasing flight frequencies and routes, opening more domestic and international routes to attract tourists, supporting airport infrastructure, improving service quality, expanding amenities, and enhancing the passenger experience. He affirmed that the city will work alongside ACV in completing connectivity infrastructure, issuing policies to support new routes, and promoting Hue as a destination through domestic and international channels, creating the most favorable conditions for airlines to operate sustainably.
