Sowing the seeds of knowledge
As one of the four winners of the "Da Nang Reading Culture Ambassador" award at the 2025 "Da Nang Reading Culture Ambassador" competition, Doan Vu Minh Thu, a student from Nguyen Trai High School (Lien Chieu ward), shared that reading books helps her accumulate a lot of knowledge, helps her mature in her thinking, empathize, and understand herself better.
In her entry, Thu chose a book by author Nguyen Nhat Anh, a work that changed her perspective on kindness, perseverance, and responsibility in life. From there, Thu wants to spread these positive values to her friends and share the positive inspiration from the pages of the book.
From Thu's sharing, it's clear that each book is not only a companion but also a silent teacher nurturing the soul and igniting a thirst for learning in young people. It is from this passion that the reading movement among students in Da Nang has gradually spread, becoming a bright spot in the journey of sowing the seeds of knowledge and fostering a reading culture in schools and the community.
Similarly, regarding the "Da Nang Reading Culture" award 2025, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, a student from Phan Chau Trinh High School (Hai Chau ward), shared that she was very happy to win the prize in the competition. This is a beneficial playground for students of all levels in the city, through which Ngan and many other students are encouraged to express their passion for books; be creative in spreading reading culture, and become "ambassadors" inspiring reading to their families, friends, and society...

Similar to Da Nang, activities related to reading culture are also strongly implemented in Quang Nam (formerly). The "Quang Nam Province Reading Culture Ambassador" competition in 2025, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Department of Education and Training and Quang Nam College from May to August 2025, also attracted a large number of participants in both written and video formats.
According to the organizers, the entries from contestants at all levels, from primary to secondary and high school, demonstrated a love of books and rich creativity. Many entries had unique ideas and profound content, showing understanding, life experience, and a desire to spread reading culture to the community; they also sparked fresh thinking about building reading habits, cultivating character, and developing life skills for the younger generation.
These included entries from elementary school students presented in vivid and engaging video format , showcasing significant investment in both content and form, creating a positive and high-quality effect, such as the works of Huynh Mai Ngan Giang (Class 5C, Nguyen Van Troi Elementary School, Nui Thanh Commune), Duong Bao An (Class 2/1, Vo Thi Sau Elementary School, Tam Ky Ward). There was also the emotionally rich entry from Nguyen Thi Phuong Quynh, a student from Nguyen Hue High School (Nui Thanh Commune), which was connected to her personal experiences…
