BAC NINH - According to the 2026 crop production plan recently issued by the Bac Ninh Department of Agriculture and Environment, each commune and ward needs to select 3-4 key rice varieties to organize concentrated production and improve farming efficiency.

The TBR225 rice variety is grown in a concentrated production area in Cao Tho village, Cao Duc commune.

Some of the key varieties targeted for use include BC15, TBR225, TBR97, VNR20, Dai Thom 8, DH12, J02, Bac Thom No. 7, glutinous rice PD2, BM9603, T58...

For the 2026 crop season, the entire province aims to plant 89,355 hectares of various crops, including 74,500 hectares of rice, with an average yield of 58 quintals/hectare and a total production of approximately 431,750 tons.

For mountainous communes with specific conditions, the planting schedule can be flexibly adjusted to suit the local situation.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will direct its subordinate units to proactively secure irrigation water, prepare sufficient seeds, intensify technical training, strengthen forecasting and pest control, and ensure the successful achievement of the 2026 crop production targets.
