On the morning of January 1st, at gift distribution points in Nam Nha Trang ward, a large number of people joyfully came to receive New Year's gifts from the Party and the State. Mr. Hoang Van Vinh, a person with meritorious contributions to the revolution in Nam Nha Trang ward, happily shared: “I am very happy to receive a gift of 400,000 VND from the Party and the State. This is the first time I have received a gift to celebrate the Party Congress and the Lunar New Year. The gift is a recognition and appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions of those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution. Receiving the gift shows the care and concern of the Party and the State, and it feels truly warm in the first days of the new year.”

Sharing the same emotion, Ms. Le Thi Tham, a revolutionary veteran from Ninh Hai commune, said: “Every month, I receive my full allowance, and now I am deeply moved to receive gifts from the Party and the State on the occasion of the Party Congress and the Lunar New Year. The gifts not only have material value but also contain deep affection, gratitude, and the care and concern of the Party and the State for those who have dedicated their youth and blood to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.”

Along with those who contributed to the revolution, social welfare beneficiaries, pensioners, and vulnerable people also received gifts this time. These meaningful gifts at the beginning of the new year help alleviate some of the difficulties in people's daily lives. Holding a gift of 400,000 VND, Mrs. Le Thi Gai (88 years old, Nam Nha Trang ward) emotionally said: “This gift not only helps me cover my expenses at the beginning of the year but also makes me feel cared for. The joy at the beginning of the new year is so simple and warm, helping me to have more faith in the Party and State's policies and live a happier and healthier life.”

In order to encourage, support, and provide timely care for those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, social welfare beneficiaries, social pensioners, and vulnerable groups, communes and wards have promptly and actively implemented the distribution of gifts. The organization of gift distribution has been carried out seriously and meticulously by local authorities, ensuring that the gifts reach the correct recipients, are distributed on time, and are transparent. From the process of reviewing the list and preparing the budget to organizing the payment, everything has been done carefully to minimize errors and delays. Ms. Truong Thi My Y, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Ninh commune, said that since December 31, 2025, the locality has disbursed gifts to more than 4,000 individuals who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, social welfare beneficiaries, social pensioners, and other vulnerable groups. The gift distribution is done through two methods: bank transfer and direct payment, with the participation of professional staff and village heads. To date, the locality has completed 100% of the planned gift distribution.

In many localities, to facilitate the distribution of gifts to the elderly, people with disabilities, and those in particularly difficult circumstances, local authorities have been flexible in organizing the distribution. Besides centralized distribution points, many places deliver gifts directly to the homes of those with mobility difficulties, combining this with visits, encouragement, and understanding the thoughts and aspirations of the people. According to Ms. Tran Thi Anh Tuyet, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Rang Ward, as soon as the central government and provincial authorities issued directives, the locality quickly organized meetings and assigned specific tasks to each official and civil servant in charge, ensuring that gifts were distributed to the people in a timely manner. The People's Committee of the ward established working groups and arranged distribution points at the ward hall and community cultural centers for the convenience of the people. To date, the ward has completed the distribution of gifts to all 3,673 people on the approved list, achieving 100% of the planned target. The gift distribution process was carried out strictly and flexibly. People receiving gifts only need to present their citizen identification card or other legal documents; elderly or infirm individuals who cannot come in person will be guided through the proper authorization procedures. This approach contributes to implementing the policy in a practical and effective way, ensuring that no eligible recipient is left out.

According to Mr. Huynh Manh Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Affairs, with the spirit of ensuring Tet gifts reach the right recipients, in sufficient quantities, and in a timely manner, the Department of Internal Affairs has closely coordinated with the Department of Health , the Department of Finance, and 64 communes and wards in the province to review and compile a list of recipients. As a result, 111,896 people across the province received gifts during this period, with a total budget of over 44.7 billion VND. This includes 17,981 people with meritorious service to the revolution; and 93,915 social welfare beneficiaries, social pensioners, and other vulnerable individuals. The timely and accurate distribution of gifts not only contributes to caring for the material and spiritual lives of the people during the Tet holiday, but also clearly demonstrates the responsibility, affection, and profound concern of the Party and the State for the people. Through this, we continue to affirm the fine tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source," and the humanitarian spirit of "leaving no one behind," so that the people always have firm faith in the Party's leadership and are united in building an increasingly prosperous homeland and country.
