On July 4th, the head of the Cam Lo Commune Health Center in Quang Tri province announced that the unit had just received a patient who had been bitten by a monkey. The patient is BTNQ, a 10-year-old child residing in Dak Lak province.

Child Q. was admitted to the surgical department of Cam Lo Commune Health Center for treatment with injuries to the head and buttocks.
On July 3rd, Q. and her family traveled from Dak Lak province to visit relatives in Doc Kinh village, Cam Lo commune (Cua region). Around 9:00 AM on July 3rd, Q. went to Rao Vinh stream to play. On the way, she encountered a monkey standing by the roadside, which suddenly lunged at her, repeatedly biting her head and buttocks, causing Q. to fall to the ground.
Immediately after chasing the monkey away, the family quickly took Q. to the hospital for emergency treatment, as he was bleeding from multiple areas of his body.
On the same day, the head of the Cam Lo - Dong Ha Forest Ranger District stated that they had dispatched forces to quickly inspect and verify the situation in order to organize a capture operation, preventing people from being attacked and injured by the monkeys.
