These days, the Tet holiday atmosphere has permeated everywhere, from cities to rural areas. For Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuan (born in 1940), residing in Group 51, Bach Dang 4 area, Hong Gai ward, this year's Lunar New Year arrived earlier than usual thanks to the care, attention, and support of the Party Committee, government, and Fatherland Front of the ward. In addition to cash gifts and essential necessities for Tet, Mrs. Thuan also received a television set to enhance her cultural and spiritual life.
Ms. Thuan happily shared: "My old television was damaged in Typhoon Yagi in 2024. I am a single mother with no relatives to support me, and my life depends entirely on the social welfare allowance of 700,000 VND per month. Now, receiving this precious gift from the Fatherland Front of the ward and benefactors, I am very happy; it's like having extra spiritual nourishment during Tet."
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Gai Ward, said: Following the direction of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee, during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the Ward Fatherland Front coordinated with local departments, agencies, and organizations to actively mobilize social resources to care for disadvantaged households and vulnerable people in the area. To date, the ward has donated 13 televisions, 1 refrigerator, 12 fans, 7 sets of blankets, 9 rice cookers, 16 electric kettles, 1 wheelchair, and 2 beds with a total value of 135 million VND as requested, meeting the actual living needs of each household.
In addition to household items, the Fatherland Front of the ward also presented 275 gift packages worth a total of 192.5 million VND to households in difficult circumstances, aiming to provide timely encouragement and help families have better conditions to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) in a joyful and fulfilling way.

In Phong Coc ward, under the theme "Sharing Tet - Loving Spring," the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, in coordination with the Department of Investigation of Crimes related to Corruption, Economics, and Smuggling ( Ministry of Public Security ), Bac Tien Phong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company, Agribank Nam Quang Yen - Tay Quang Ninh Branch, and benevolent businesses, organizations, and individuals inside and outside the area, donated 250 gift packages worth nearly 200 million VND to disadvantaged families and students. The gifts, including cash and essential necessities, were handed directly to the recipients in a solemn, warm, and compassionate atmosphere, helping families alleviate difficulties and confidently celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year.
Ms. Vu Thi Xuan (born in 1965), residing in Yen Hai 5 residential area, expressed: "My neighbors and I are very happy to receive Tet gifts from the local government and sponsors. Although the gifts are not large, they show the care and concern of the Party, the State, and society for families in difficult circumstances, helping us to have a warmer and happier Tet holiday and giving us more motivation to strive in life."
Mr. Duong Van Thanh, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Phong Coc Ward, shared: "This activity not only has humanitarian and charitable significance, but also serves as a vivid testament to the fine traditions of the Vietnamese people with the spirit of 'mutual support and compassion' every time Tet comes around; at the same time, it affirms the synchronized involvement of the entire political system, the companionship and responsibility of agencies, businesses, organizations, and individuals towards the locality in caring for social welfare."
To ensure everyone and every family can enjoy the Lunar New Year, this year, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has developed a plan to visit and present 1,560 gifts to households facing difficult circumstances or sudden hardships, with a total budget of over 1.9 billion VND from the Fund for the Poor and other legally mobilized sources. These gifts, delivered directly to each household with compassion and love, contribute to spreading positive human values in the community, strengthening and promoting the power of national unity, and creating motivation for disadvantaged households to improve their lives, study, work, and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building a more developed, civilized, prosperous, and happy Quang Ninh province.
