From the beginning of June, localities simultaneously launched activities in response to the 2025 Action Month for Children with many creative and flexible forms, suitable for each age group. In particular, many schools have implemented summer programs combining learning and play, helping students to review their studies in a relaxed manner while developing skills and creativity.
These include life skills classes, chess classes, STEM education , and English language learning through artificial intelligence (AI) applications... with scientifically designed, engaging, concise content suitable for each age group, creating interest for the children.

Nguyen Thu Hoai An, a 5th-grade student at Hermann Gmeiner High School (Tan Thanh Ward), shared: “I participate in the school’s English and chess classes. Every day at school during the summer is fun because I get to meet friends, learn new things, and don’t feel the pressure like during the school year.”
Alongside academics, local authorities have enthusiastically organized summer sports activities such as swimming, football, and martial arts classes... not only to improve physical fitness but also to create a healthy environment to help children stay away from video games or social vices.
For example, at Binh An football field in Hoa Thanh ward, every Saturday and Sunday morning, dozens of students from Nguyen Tao Primary School are divided into groups to participate in basic football classes. They are guided by coaches on warm-up exercises, dribbling, passing, and competitive play, helping them develop physical fitness and teamwork skills.

Meanwhile, local swimming classes are also receiving great interest from parents. This is seen as a practical solution to equip children with drowning prevention skills – a worrying issue every summer. Mr. Tran Thanh Su (An Xuyen ward) said: “I feel very reassured having my two grandchildren learn to swim. Besides improving their health, they also learn how to handle dangerous situations in the water.”
Not only focusing on urban areas, many summer programs have been organized targeting children in remote and disadvantaged areas. This past summer, the Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio & Television Youth Union, in coordination with the Provincial Youth Union's Office Youth Union, organized a summer activity at Gia Long Den estuary (Tan Tien commune). The children were extremely excited to participate in folk games, cultural exchanges, and group activities. With the support of Vietravel Ca Mau Branch, the program also provided many gifts (backpacks, school supplies) and scholarships for students with good academic achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Hang, representative of Vietravel Ca Mau, shared: “We want to bring a warm and meaningful summer to the children in remote areas. Each gift is a source of encouragement to help them strive harder in their studies.”
It is evident that summer activities for children in Ca Mau are increasingly organized in a systematic, creative, and educational way. With the coordinated efforts of various sectors, levels, organizations, and the entire society, children in Ca Mau province enjoyed a truly meaningful, beneficial, and safe summer in 2025.
