Sam Son Ward aims to become a leading unique tourist and entertainment city in the country by 2030.
Sam Son Ward enters 2026 with a spirit of innovation and strong breakthroughs, daring to confront difficulties and challenges to seize new opportunities. The ward is determined to focus on comprehensive socio-economic development, with tourism and services as the spearhead, linked to the development of a modern, civilized, smart, and sustainable coastal urban area. The ward aims to become a leading unique entertainment and tourism city in the country by 2030. To achieve this, in addition to effectively utilizing its existing potential and advantages, the ward will focus on reviewing and definitively resolving the long-standing obstacles hindering local development.
"We know it's difficult, but we have no choice but to do it. Because socio-economic development, along with the joy and happiness of the people, is a great achievement and motivation for the Party committees and local authorities," emphasized Le Van Tuan, Secretary of the Ward Party Committee.
That strong political determination and innovative spirit are breathing new life and creating a new springtime atmosphere in the coastal area of Sam Son. The head of the ward's Party Committee is systematically identifying and naming the "things that need to be done immediately."
This involves accelerating key resettlement projects to serve infrastructure development, urban beautification, and stable housing arrangements for people affected by construction projects; ensuring environmental sanitation, especially definitively addressing the overload and environmental pollution at waste collection points; planning and adjusting plans, and constructing industrial zones to promote investment attraction, prioritizing green businesses...
The story of local governance and administration in the new era is inseparable from the orientations and goals that promote digital transformation, gradually building and developing smart governments, smart cities, smart tourism management, etc.
As a key tourist area of the province, Sam Son ward is also a focal point for "external relations," acting as an "ambassador" to promote the brand, beauty, and culture of Thanh Hoa province to a wide range of tourists. Entering the 2026 tourist season, the ward will implement many new management plans to affirm the attractiveness of this vibrant, friendly, modern, and culturally rich resort paradise. It can be said that Sam Son tourism has never been as open and friendly as it is now.

High-tech agricultural models are one of the key drivers for the socio-economic development of Van Du commune.
From the coastal region, the spring road leads to Van Du commune – one of the famous fruit-growing areas in the northern part of the province. While cutting oranges to give to visitors as a warm New Year's gift, workers at Chung Thuy Farm – the largest citrus-growing model in the commune's high-tech agricultural zone – chatted lively, their smiles peeking out from behind the branches of Canh and Xa Doai oranges laden with fruit, their skin bright yellow in the sun. For those accustomed to working in the fields and gardens, the initial merger of the communes was a bit worrying and unsettling. More than half a year has passed, and everything is going smoothly; the new administration is operating increasingly efficiently and effectively. “We don’t ask for much. We just hope that the commune’s leadership team will always be dedicated and committed to improving the income and raising the living standards of the people; we will wholeheartedly support that.” The simple, unpretentious words of the girls were also the most sincere expressions of their thoughts and wishes.
According to Hoang Van Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Van Du commune: “In the new term, the commune will further develop its potential and advantages, continue to build an agricultural economic zone along the value chain; develop various forms of tourism, especially spiritual tourism, community tourism, and eco-tourism in agriculture; attract investment and develop trade and services associated with urbanization to build an urban economic corridor along the National Highway 45 and National Highway 217B; and promote digital transformation..."
Each step of spring marks a turning point on the journey towards the future. The "reorganization of the nation" has created a strategic turning point, with a double impact: streamlining the administrative apparatus, improving the effectiveness of governance and administration, and contributing to expanding the space and potential for development and promoting regional linkages. All of this is aimed at the highest goal: building a government that is "close to the people," placing the people at the center of service, gradually building strength and momentum, and together with the nation, moving forward in this era of progress. And each citizen, on this journey, will join forces and work together with the Party committees and local governments to steer the "ship of reform" to the shores of prosperity.
