According to Booking.com, the top 10 most popular destinations for domestic tourists this year, chosen for their spring holiday trips, are based on searches and bookings from February 8th to 14th (corresponding to the 29th of the lunar month to the 5th day of the Lunar New Year). Specifically, Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Da Nang hold the top 3 most searched destinations thanks to their harmonious blend of majestic natural landscapes, idyllic beaches, and unique cultural traditions. Following them are Vung Tau, Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne, Hanoi , Sa Pa, and Hoi An.
For Vietnamese people, Tet Nguyen Dan (Lunar New Year) is a time for family reunions, steeped in long-standing customs and traditions, and a time to look forward to a year filled with hope. Besides beach holidays, which remain a top choice for Vietnamese travelers, a survey by Booking.com shows that tourists are also increasingly seeking destinations with cooler weather, with 82% of respondents indicating their interest this year in holidays focused on water-related activities and those featuring traditional Vietnamese Tet celebrations.
