On ABC News ' "Good Morning America," US Vice President JD Vance confirmed that the US and Iran had finalized an agreement electronically on June 14, and announced that a formal signing ceremony would take place in Switzerland on June 19.
"We completed the electronic signing yesterday, and no funds have been disbursed yet. This will not change," Mr. Vance affirmed.
According to CNN, US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance electronically signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran. On the Iranian side, Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf signed the document.
Under this agreement, Iran will have access to a $300 million reconstruction fund if it meets nuclear requirements.
Furthermore, the US would only ease sanctions when Iran implemented specific measures, including eliminating its enriched uranium stockpile and agreeing to a rigorous verification mechanism to ensure Tehran does not develop nuclear weapons.
Earlier, President Donald Trump confirmed that the US and Iran had finalized an agreement to end the 107-day war.
Currently, the White House has not released the full text of the document and has not clarified whether this is a complete peace agreement or merely a memorandum of understanding to serve as a basis for negotiations.
Both sides are continuing to work towards finalizing key details regarding Iran's nuclear program, international inspection mechanisms, regional security commitments, and a long-term implementation roadmap.
