However, Norway is still behind France due to an inferior goal difference. This means they must beat "Les Bleus" if they want to finish the group stage in first place. This will be no easy challenge, as Norway has only beaten France three times in their head-to-head history, most recently a 2-1 victory in 2010.
On the other side of the battlefield, France continued to assert its position as a title contender. Coach Didier Deschamps' team successively defeated Senegal 3-1 and Iraq 3-0, with Kylian Mbappe maintaining his explosive form by scoring in both matches.
A draw would be enough for France to maintain their top spot in Group I. However, Mbappe and his teammates certainly don't aim to stop there. "Les Bleus" are aiming for a third consecutive victory to finish the group stage with a perfect record, something they achieved at the 1998 World Cup, the tournament where the French national team first lifted the world trophy.
