Dr. Le Chi Nguyen, Director of the Nam Can District Health Center, said: "Every year, the unit successfully implements its assigned tasks, especially in disease prevention and control. Particularly during the Covid-19 outbreak, the district's preventive health sector, along with the entire political system, joined forces to contain it. In addition, the prevention and control of endemic diseases (dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, measles, gastrointestinal diseases, and various types of influenza) were implemented promptly, preventing major outbreaks in the area."

Ms. Pham Tuyet Hong, from Chong My A hamlet, Ham Rong commune, said: “In our village, if there are elderly or sick people who cannot travel, the doctors and nurses diligently come to their homes to examine and treat them, and carefully monitor their condition. Furthermore, the district's preventive health sector has strictly managed the production, processing, and trading of food, as well as food and beverage services; regularly inspected and monitored food safety and hygiene; and carried out various tasks such as: expanded immunization, prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and social diseases, reproductive health care, population and family planning, gender equality, gender imbalance, and elderly care... It has also coordinated with relevant agencies and units to strengthen inspections and checks on private medical and pharmaceutical practices, cosmetics, etc.

“In particular, the implementation of digital transformation in the healthcare sector has also received focused guidance. The unit is promoting the use of software applications in healthcare management, creating electronic health records, electronic health books, and applying citizen identification cards in medical examinations and treatment…”, added Dr. Le Chi Nguyen.
