INVESTING IN INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE HEALTHCARE SECTOR

Besides modern facilities, Nam Can Tho University also places special emphasis on investing in the construction of many projects serving the training of health-related fields. It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the university will begin construction of phase 2 of the Nam Can Tho University Hospital; a 20-story building with a floor area of ​​over 55,000 m2, with a total value of approximately 1,500 billion VND. Also in the fourth quarter, the university will begin construction of the DNC International Dormitory to meet the accommodation needs of international and domestic students, a 15-story building with an investment value of approximately 450 billion VND. By the first quarter of 2025, the DNC Institute for Health Science Research and Training will be inaugurated to commemorate the university's 12th anniversary. This project will have a floor area of ​​25,000 m2, with a total value of approximately 600 billion VND.

ENHANCE INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

In line with global integration trends, Nam Can Tho University has established the DNC International Medical Faculty, promoting expanded cooperation in education , training, and applied scientific research. Furthermore, the university collaborates with the VMED organization (India) to provide study abroad consulting services and accept students from countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Middle East, and many others. Simultaneously, DNC focuses on expanding cooperation with many reputable partners worldwide, including the USA, Japan, France, Malaysia, India, New Zealand, South Korea, and the Philippines, offering students opportunities to study and experience an international environment.

MEETS INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

To date, Nam Can Tho University has achieved the Quality Accreditation Standard for Educational Institutions (cycle 2) issued by the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and has received Certificates of Educational Quality Accreditation for many undergraduate and master's degree programs. In 2024, Nam Can Tho University was honored to be ranked in the Top 61 of the Vietnamese University Rankings, an increase of 37 places compared to 2023. Furthermore, in 2023, DNC actively strived to officially be included in the list of medical universities meeting the criteria selected by the prestigious WDOMS (World Directory of Medical Schools) website, becoming a globally recognized medical training institution. This also serves as a foundation for students of the Faculty of Medicine to have the opportunity to take the US residency exam, becoming international medical students.

Currently, DNC has over 22,000 students studying at the school and has awarded more than 12,000 diplomas, contributing to providing high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region in particular and the whole country in general.

DNC received the Certificate of Accreditation for Educational Institutions (cycle 2) issued by the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation - Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

In 2024, Nam Can Tho University offered 42 undergraduate programs in various fields such as: health sciences, economics and management, social sciences and humanities, engineering and technology, tourism, hospitality and hotel management, etc.; among which, health-related fields such as medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, preventive medicine, medical imaging technology, and medical laboratory technology stood out.

The university admits students through three methods: high school academic transcripts, 2024 high school graduation exam results, or aptitude test results organized by the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho University.

In addition, the university also offers doctoral and master's degree programs, as well as programs for transferring to undergraduate programs, second degree programs, and part-time study programs.
