On the afternoon of March 8, NetNam officially announced a change in the company's leadership. Accordingly, for the first time, this network operator appointed a General Director of the 9x generation, Mr. Nguyen Vu An. The remaining member of the Executive Board is Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong. This change marks a transition in both the leadership generation and the business management style.
Mr. Nguyen Vu An was assigned to the position of General Director of NetNam at the age of 34, the youngest leader in the history of appointment of this Internet service provider - ISP. This is also the first time NetNam boldly brought the 9x generation into the ranks of senior leaders.
Starting out as an IT engineer, Mr. Nguyen Vu An has spent 13 years at NetNam in many professional positions from technician to customer care and management positions such as member of the Strategic Management Office, Deputy Director of the Southern Branch. Before being appointed as CEO from the beginning of March 2024, Mr. Nguyen Vu An was Director of the Southern Branch of NetNam.
As for NetNam Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, before being appointed to the new position, this female leader also held many positions such as Head of Communications Department, Head of International Business Department, Director of Foreign Affairs and most recently Director of the Northern branch.
Along with the change in the Executive Board members, a major change in this generational leadership transition of NetNam is the appearance of a 'Breakthrough Leadership Board' consisting of 7 members, including General Director Nguyen Vu An and Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong.
Two members of the previous NetNam Executive Board, former General Director Vu The Binh and former Deputy General Director Ngo Duc Anh, will focus on their roles in the NetNam Board of Directors in the coming time, aiming to promote investment activities, innovation, and improve the general management system for sustainable business development.
Mr. Vu The Binh, former General Director and member of the Board of Directors of NetNam, said that 2024 is the year when NetNam opens a new chapter in its development journey, with a sustainable development orientation after the start-up phase and certain successes in the field of Internet and network solutions.
“The transfer of leadership generation was planned by the Board of Directors 4 years ago and implemented according to the roadmap of training, testing and transfer. As veteran members, who have been with NetNam for 13 to 18 years in many different positions, both new leaders were names that were early chosen to receive the second founding mission for NetNam” , Mr. Vu The Binh shared more.
Representing the new Executive Board, NetNam Deputy General Director Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong committed that from the sustainable development orientation of the enterprise, the new leadership will develop and implement specific action plans and programs. An important goal that NetNam needs to achieve in the coming time is to promote revenue growth from 20-25% in the past 3 years to 28-30% in the next 3 years.
“We will also continue to maintain our number one position in network solutions for 5-star hotels, luxury resorts, multinational corporations, domestic/FDI enterprises, industrial parks and theeducation sector,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong.
