Kinhtedothi - The International Youth Festival - For a Peaceful World is an opportunity for young people in Hanoi to interact, promote the culture and tourism of Thang Long - Hanoi to international friends; to demonstrate their love for peace, and to strengthen the solidarity and friendship of the youth and students of the capital city.
On November 9th, at Hanoi University, the Hanoi Youth Union organized the 3rd International Youth Day - 2024 with the theme "For a Peaceful World". This event celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being honored as a "City for Peace".

The 2024 International Youth Festival was attended by representatives from embassies of various countries in Hanoi; famous artists; and nearly 3,000 young people from Vietnam and other countries living and studying in Hanoi.
Speaking at the program, Hanoi Youth Union Secretary Chu Hong Minh said that in recent years, Hanoi's youth international relations work has seen new developments with many outstanding results: the Hanoi Youth Union has promoted and diversified its political and diplomatic activities and friendly exchanges in terms of partners, scale, and types of activities.

The Hanoi Youth Union has successfully organized many large-scale activities with significant political importance, regularly maintaining and expanding cooperative relations with youth and student organizations, especially strengthening ties with youth organizations in capital cities in the region and around the world.
The image of Hanoi as a "Safe and Friendly" destination is increasingly being promoted and widely publicized, and is highly appreciated by international organizations.

Besides cultural integration, tourism, and trade, the Hanoi Youth Union particularly focuses on advising on methods to improve the effectiveness of training and development for international students studying, researching, and working in Hanoi. This helps international friends better understand the customs, cultural traditions, and people of Vietnam, thereby strengthening ties and friendship between Vietnam and other countries.
According to the Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, the festival is an opportunity to showcase the cultural traditions, potential, and socio-economic achievements of Hanoi and Vietnam. It's a chance for young people in Hanoi to interact, promote the culture and tourism of Thang Long - Hanoi to international friends; demonstrate a spirit of peace; and strengthen the solidarity and friendship among youth, students, and the people of Hanoi.




At the same time, this is a healthy and beneficial cultural, artistic, and sporting playground that contributes to improving the cultural and spiritual lives of young people in Hanoi and internationally.
The festival included the following activities: a cultural space showcasing countries around the world; the second International Youth Friendship Run "For a Peaceful World"; an art exchange program between Hanoi's youth and young people from other countries; a competition to learn about the cultures of countries around the world; and a City Tour for international youth visiting famous landmarks of the city .
