On January 23rd, the People's Committee of Xim Vang commune organized the 2026 Mong Ethnic Culture Festival, attracting a large number of local people and tourists.

The 2026 Mong ethnic New Year festival was organized with many rich and distinctive activities. The inter-village cultural performance competition kicked off the series of events, with the participation of 8 teams. The performances praised the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and love for the homeland, while also honoring the long-standing traditional culture of the Mong people in Xim Vang commune.

The traditional costume contest featured 8 teams, each with 2 contestants showcasing traditional Hmong ethnic costumes, both original and modernized. The rice cake pounding competition involved 3 teams. These events attracted a large crowd of local residents who came to watch and cheer.

The most exciting part of the festival was the competitions in traditional sports , such as tug-of-war, stick pushing, and crossbow shooting. In a vibrant and lively atmosphere, with enthusiastic cheers from the spectators, the contestants delivered thrilling and captivating performances, giving their all and striving to bring high achievements to their teams.
