At WWDC 2025, Apple officially confirmed that a new version of Siri with deep integration with Apple Intelligence will not appear this year. Instead, this feature may be released in 2026.

In the Power On newsletter on Bloomberg , analyst Mark Gurman revealed on June 12 that Apple has planned to release a comprehensive AI upgrade for virtual assistant Siri in iOS version 26.4, expected to be released in March 2026.

According to Gurman, this Siri upgrade is expected to integrate more deeply with user data and on-screen content, allowing for more contextual and multi-step tasks.

“This would turn the virtual assistant into a more conversational, always-on companion device. Apple also has teams working on a chatbot-like app called Knowledge that would have access to the open web,” the Bloomberg writer added.

At WWDC 2024, the iPhone maker confidently demonstrated Siri with a new interface, the ability to remember conversations and perform many complex tasks. However, according to Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, the V1 version still has many limitations after months of testing and is not ready to be released to the market.

The delay in launching the new Siri shows that Apple is not rushing to jump on the AI bandwagon as a mere technology race. Instead, the company is building a long-term, secure, and user-friendly platform.
