Trong Nhan's best performance was when he faced off against the Ta brothers in the play San Hau.
Amidst the challenges facing the art of Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) acting, where the golden lights still silently illuminate artistic dreams, young artist Trong Nhan emerges as a promising figure, preserving the spirit of traditional Cai Luong while infusing it with a youthful and energetic spirit.
He is beloved by professionals and audiences alike as a "younger version" of the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh, not only because his singing voice is similar to that of his idol, but also because of his performance style deeply rooted in traditional Vietnamese opera.
The legacy of Khuong Linh Ta – a launching pad for talent.
Recently, the role of Khuong Linh Ta in the play San Hau – the graduation project of young director Tran Quynh Anh – became a significant turning point in Trong Nhan's career. This was a challenging role, requiring the artist to possess all the necessary elements: singing, acting, martial arts, dance, along with psychological depth and the quintessential beauty of a loyal and heroic character in classical Vietnamese opera.

Trong Nhan overcame challenges in training for this role, not only successfully portraying the character but also truly convincing the audience with his powerful singing and acting skills, smooth performance, and subtle emotions.
Khương Linh Tá's inner turmoil – from loyalty and filial piety to misunderstanding and resentment – is conveyed by his resonant, strong voice, along with his expressive eyes and graceful movements.
Many veteran artists, after watching the performance, affirmed: "The role of Khuong Linh Ta was very beautiful – possessing all the qualities of a true classical opera artist. I am very happy for the progress of this young actor."
The journey of growth from Huynh Long Youth Union
Having been associated with the Huynh Long traditional opera troupe, Trong Nhan was fortunate to be honed through many major performances. Audiences have seen him majestic in the role of King Chanh Duc (Heroic Uproar in Hong Hai Nhi), magnanimous in Ton Cang (Returning to Kinh Chau), heroic with Duong That Lang (Yang Family Generals), and then subtly transform himself as Giang Tan Hi and King Thanh Ton in two different productions by Manh Le Quan.
Each role is a stepping stone to honing skills, from performance techniques and character embodiment to singing style and dialogue. Artist Binh Tinh commented: "Trong Nhan didn't choose the shortcut. He persevered step by step, gradually perfecting his emotions from small roles, until he poured all his energy into larger ones. Trong Nhan belongs to the younger generation of artists but has the mindset of a 'successor,' always learning from his predecessors, especially the singing and acting style and the way he handles roles, as exemplified by Meritorious Artist Vu Linh – a great idol in his artistic life."

Artist Trong Nhan in the role of Khuong Linh Ta
In Trong Nhan, one sees a sense of responsibility towards his profession, not chasing fleeting glamour, but quietly training and striving to preserve and develop traditional Vietnamese opera – a genre that is yearning for young artists with both heart and talent.
Roles like Pham Lai (Beautiful Women of the Country), Duong Van Quang (Fourteen Heroines), or Luc That (White Plum Blossoms in Marriage) are not only beautiful memories of his career, but also proof of Trong Nhan's continuous growth. He emerges as a "green flame" amidst the traditional stage, not blazing fiercely but smoldering, persistent, and warm.
Trong Nhan has been proving that perseverance, passion, and a thirst for knowledge are the keys to reaching the pinnacle of artistic achievement.
Who knows, perhaps, from the light of Khuong Linh Ta today, the traditional Vietnamese opera stage will have a new "Vu Linh" – a young face, but with an unceasing creative effort, contributing to igniting the passion for traditional theater in a whole new generation of audiences.
