On July 10th, Mr. Nguyen Minh Dat, Director of the Khanh Hoa Sports Technical Training Center, announced that he had signed a decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Dang Dao, the coach of the Khanh Hoa U.19 team, from his duties starting July 9th, so that the Inspectorate of the Department of Culture and Sports could continue to investigate suspicions that he embezzled money from the players.

"Currently, there is no conclusion from the inspection, however, upon receiving the document from the department establishing an inspection team and the directive, the center has decided to temporarily suspend Coach Dang Dao, and has provided the files and documents as requested by the inspection team. In addition, the center has also transported the players to the inspection team for questioning to clarify the matter," Mr. Dat informed.

Coach keeps players' ATM cards.

According to information obtained by reporters, the Khánh Hòa U.19 team has a total of 22 players, including 11 players who receive a recruitment allowance of nearly 10 million VND/player/month and 11 players who receive a youth allowance of nearly 7 million VND/player/month. The Khánh Hòa Sports Technical Training Center transfers the players' monthly salaries via ATM cards. However, the Khánh Hòa U.19 coach keeps all the players' ATM cards and spends the money arbitrarily.

Coach Dang Dao (52 years old) is a former player of Khanh Hoa Club, and was the top scorer in the V-League 2001 with 11 goals in 18 matches. After retiring, Mr. Dang Dao has been involved in coaching youth players of Khanh Hoa for more than 12 years now.

Furthermore, according to the Director of the Khanh Hoa Sports Technical Training Center, in addition to the U.19 coach, the Inspectorate of the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture and Sports is also inspecting coaches of the U.15, U.17, and U.21 teams in Khanh Hoa, who are also involved in the matter of holding ATM cards of the players.

Mr. Nguyen Van Nhuan, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture and Sports, said that the department's inspectors are still working on the case and will soon have a conclusion.

According to Mr. Nhuan, this is a serious matter, and the department's stance is that it must be handled strictly and thoroughly, with no cover-up of any wrongdoing.
