Teacher suspended for using electric wire to beat student

The leader of the People's Committee of Buon Ma Thuot City ( Dak Lak ) said that the school has temporarily suspended the teacher who beat the student with an electric wire.

On the morning of February 28, Mr. Pham Tien Hung - Vice Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee - said that he had directed the City Department of Education and Training and the school to temporarily suspend work to hold a meeting to handle the responsibility of the teacher who beat the student.

According to him, the temporary suspension of teacher BTX (homeroom teacher of class 5D, Ly Tu Trong Primary School) is pending the handling of the violation. This afternoon, the Department of Education and Training and the school council will meet to consider the handling.

"The guiding principle is to handle any violations to the extent of responsibility. After that, the school will work with parents on correct complaints to apologize, and at the same time discuss inaccurate complaints when posting information on social networks," Mr. Hung said.

Speaking more about this issue, Mr. Nguyen Huu Luat - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Buon Ma Thuot City - said that he had verified the information that the homeroom teacher of class 5D used a broken electric wire cover to beat the students, used a blackboard eraser to threaten the students, and had the students prepare a crumpled piece of paper and put it in their mouths whenever they wanted to talk...

The verification results show that the parents' reflections are correct. There is no basis to confirm other contents such as forcing students to crawl into the toilet, stuffing blackboard erasers into students' mouths...

Currently, Ly Tu Trong Primary School has temporarily suspended Ms. X. from teaching and being the homeroom teacher of class 5D and arranged for someone else to teach in her place until the end of the school year. The school also requested Ms. X. to make a report of the incident and continue to verify to assess the level of Ms. X.'s violation to handle it according to regulations.
