Psychological problems that many students are facing
Chien (18 years old, living in Go Vap ward, Ho Chi Minh City) Admitting that you used to be so absorbed in the gym 3-4 hours a day, leading to a serious imbalance, forgetting about studying and housework. The lesson Chien learned was to "slow down a beat" to look at and rebalance, avoiding the situation of "this goes up and that goes down". In particular, instability from the family is the underlying cause, making Chien feel tormented and helpless from within himself.
Xuan Truong, 20 years old, a psychology student at Van Lang University, said that peer pressure only accounts for 3/10 of the problems. The biggest psychological crisis (7/10) comes from the pressure to find and choose a different direction for himself. Xuan Truong also realized that he had forgotten his own values that could help him feel calm in the hustle and bustle of life.

Linh, 20 years old, a psychology student at Saigon University, shared that she is facing peer pressure: "The pressure is how hard I have to try. I want to be good, but I often compare myself with people around me and I feel like I'm not as good as them."
Advice from Dr. Le Nguyen Phuong
An Lac Festival was built by Dr. Le Nguyen Phuong and his students based on a humane healing philosophy "Helping yourself is also helping others". According to him, "When you yourself experience suffering, it will awaken your natural wisdom and qualities to be able to support those around you".
In the context of the word "healing" becoming a trend among a segment of young people, Dr. Le Nguyen Phuong has frankly pointed out dangerous misconceptions in the awareness of the community and young people. He believes that this term is being seriously misunderstood, mainly due to the application of the medical model of physical treatment to mental health.
Dr. Phuong warned that "healing" in Vietnam is being turned into a joke, like "healing bars". This warning raises an urgent need to redefine the concept properly, away from commercial or entertainment misunderstandings, so that the community can focus on human well-being as a key factor to create a valuable life from within.

Dr. Phuong has determined that 80 to 90% of the psychological activities of the Peace Festival can be completely applied to secondary and high school students, at schools to help them have advice and skills on psychological barriers at school. However, to ensure maximum effectiveness and suitability for adolescents, Dr. Le Nguyen Phuong emphasized the need to adjust the concepts and language to be simpler, easier to absorb and clearly communicated to students.
Mr. Dang Minh Son, Head of the An Lac Festival Organizing Committee, said that he has been with the program for 4 terms, starting with Mr. Phuong and his students. He was surprised that the program could be maintained for a long time and from term 3 until now, it has received support from more than 100 volunteers. Mr. Son and his team will continue to maintain and develop and have plans for terms 5 and 6 next year.
