Hong Linh High School celebrates its 40th anniversary

On the morning of November 9, Hong Linh High School (Bac Hong Linh Ward, Ha Tinh ) held a ceremony to celebrate its 40th anniversary (1985 - 2025).

Attending the ceremony were Major General Doan Xuan Buong - Political Commissar of Military Region 4; Mr. Ha Van Hung - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; leaders of departments, branches, localities and many generations of cadres, teachers and students of the school.

Established in August 1985 under Decision No. 1544 of the People's Committee of Nghe Tinh province, Hong Linh High School entered its first school year with 258 students, 7 classes (4 grade 10 and 3 grade 11). Despite many shortages, the school's teaching staff still strived to improve, gradually building discipline and creating prestige in the local education sector.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Ha Van Hung spoke at the ceremony.

Thanks to the attention of the Party Committee, the government and the people, the scale of schools and classes is increasingly expanded, and the facilities are invested in spacious and modern. In 2020, implementing the Decision of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, Hong Lam High School merged into Hong Linh High School - marking an important turning point, opening a new stage of development.

From a unit facing many difficulties in enrollment, the school has had breakthrough solutions, gradually affirming its brand and position in the province's general education system.

Up to now, Hong Linh High School has 39 classes with more than 1,400 students; a team of qualified and dedicated staff and teachers; a friendly and dynamic learning environment. The quality of comprehensive education is increasingly improved, with the graduation rate reaching 100% for many consecutive years.

From this school, many generations of teachers and students have contributed to the glory of the tradition. The school has 3 teachers who were awarded the title of Excellent Teacher , 16 students won prizes in national competitions and examinations; thousands of excellent students at the provincial level and tens of thousands of students passed the entrance exams to universities and colleges across the country - including many valedictorians of top schools.

Hong Linh High School received the banner of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee.

With outstanding achievements, Hong Linh High School has been recognized as meeting national standards three times (periods 2012 - 2017, 2017 - 2022 and 2024 - 2029). The school has achieved the title of "Excellent Labor Collective" for many consecutive years, and has been awarded certificates of merit and emulation flags by the Ministry of Education and Training and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ha Van Hung - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department - praised the results that Hong Linh High School has achieved in the 40 years of construction and growth.

Representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province presented flowers to congratulate the school.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested the school to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, innovation and creativity, effectively implementing the goal of "training human resources and developing talents" for the homeland of Ha Tinh.

In the coming time, Hong Linh High School needs to proactively deploy educational tasks associated with the implementation of Resolution No. 71 dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development; continue to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate education towards developing learners' qualities and capacities.

In addition, the school needs to encourage teachers to research and apply science and technology, be flexible in teaching methods, effectively implement the 2018 General Education Program, and strive to become one of the leading units in the province in terms of teaching and learning quality.
