At the talk show "Training and vocational training associated with recruitment" organized by the Lao Dong Newspaper on the morning of November 9, many students expressed that they had earned money early, but were worried that it would not be sustainable and that there was a high possibility of unemployment because the labor market was too large to eliminate.

Going out and unexpectedly getting "profits"

Nguyen Thong, a student at Nam Viet Secondary and High School, smiled and said he had chosen a career for the future and had a clear study path after participating in the talk show.

Although he is only in 11th grade, Thong can already earn an income from "farming" games, about 400-600 thousand VND/day. This income is not fixed, depending on free time and the rarity of the items. The male student expressed concern because he did not know what major he could study at university related to his current job.

Listening to Thong's sharing, Master To Huynh Thien Truong, Vice Principal of Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary School, gave many compliments to his student for his ability to research, explore , know how to program, and apply information technology. Master Truong suggested that Thong could study majors related to information technology such as network security, security system development, programming, etc.

Experts encouraged Thong to take advantage of his after-school time to learn more about programming skills to improve his management and business capabilities from the virtual computers he was creating, thereby increasing the value of his work.

"Normally, I rarely participate in weekend activities. Today, I happened to participate and met very enthusiastic teachers. I also feel more motivated and study more seriously" - Thong happily said.

Discussing the issue of how to help students find jobs right after graduation, Dr. Hoang Van Viet, Head of Training Management and International Cooperation Department of Ly Tu Trong College, affirmed that businesses are the "golden key".

According to Dr. Viet, enterprises are the units that use labor. Enterprises understand very well the needs of skills, technology, and standards. When enterprises participate with schools in building training programs, it will help schools shorten the time, train "correctly" and "hit" the needs of the labor market.

"Enterprises are the golden bridge that decides the connection between schools and the labor market. When businesses participate in giving feedback on the training program, lecturers will also have the opportunity to learn and update more knowledge" - Dr. Viet added.
