"Let's go to school together"
Aiming to build the image of a People's Public Security officer who "sacrifices for the nation and serves the people," in addition to the task of maintaining security and order, officers and soldiers of the city's Public Security force always pay special attention to social welfare work, especially caring for and supporting orphaned children and students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
To concretize the "Helping Children Go to School" project, the Youth Committee of the City Police Department directed the grassroots youth branches to implement two models, "Accompanying Children to School" and "Children Sponsored by the Youth Union," in a systematic and coordinated manner.
Phan Van Tien (born in 2014, Phu Trung Dong village, Tam Xuan commune) is an orphan, his father passed away, and his mother single-handedly raises four children and supports their education. Tien's family is classified as near-poor, struggling to make ends meet.

Understanding the family's difficulties, from November 2025, the Youth Union and Women's Association of Tam Xuan Commune Police have been sponsoring and supporting Tien's education. Through voluntary contributions from officers, union members, and association members within the unit, Tien receives 500,000 VND per month to cover her study expenses, allowing her to attend school with peace of mind.
A representative from the Tam Xuan Commune Police Youth Union stated that the sponsorship is not a short-term commitment but will be maintained long-term until the student graduates and completes their studies. Besides financial support, the sponsorship also serves as a source of emotional support, constantly monitoring, encouraging, and accompanying the student throughout their learning, training, and growth, demonstrating the compassion, sharing spirit, and responsibility towards the community of the officers and soldiers of the Tam Xuan Commune Police.
Nguyen Thi Hien Muoi (10th grade, Tien Phuoc High School, Tien Phuoc commune) lost her father early, and her mother suffers from heart disease, working tirelessly every day to provide for the education of her four children. Despite her difficult circumstances, Muoi has never given up, consistently striving to excel in her studies for the past nine years. Impressed by her perseverance, the Youth Union of the City Police Department has sponsored her, supporting her to continue her education.
Similarly, the family of Dao To Thien Ngan (11th grade, Hiep Duc High School, Hiep Duc commune) is in difficult circumstances. Her father left home, and her mother sells goods on the sidewalk to support Ngan and her older sister through university. The three of them don't own a house and have to rent a place to live. The meager income Ngan's mother earns barely covers living expenses and her children's education, making life very difficult. Understanding this, the Youth Committee of the City Police Department provides 500,000 VND per month to help ease the family's economic burden.
Giving wings to dreams
In the mountainous commune of Avuong, the "Youth Union's Sponsored Children" model implemented by the Avuong Commune Police Youth Union has achieved many positive results. Recently, the Executive Committee of the Avuong Commune Police Youth Union traveled nearly 20km through the forest to visit and provide support to 7 disadvantaged students in Aur village who are being sponsored by the Youth Union. All of these students are from the Co Tu ethnic minority group and are attending Nguyen Ba Ngoc Ethnic Boarding Secondary School and Avuong Ethnic Boarding Primary School.

In addition to donating practical gifts such as books, clothes, and shoes, the Youth Union of the Avương Commune Police also provides monthly living expenses of 500,000 VND per child.
In particular, to ensure the sustainability of the model, the youth union specifically assigns each member to act as a mentor, directly guiding, encouraging, and directing the students in their studies and training. In addition to funds contributed by the members, the youth union also mobilizes social resources from philanthropists and businesses to better care for the students and help them realize their dreams in border regions.
Tran Nhat Nguyen (born in 2005, residing in Que Son Trung commune) is a former student of Tran Dai Nghia High School. From June 2021 to May 2024, Nguyen was sponsored by the Youth Committee of the City Police, receiving financial support of 500,000 VND per month for his studies. Thanks to this timely support, Nguyen overcame difficulties and had the opportunity to strive for academic excellence.
After graduating from high school with honors, Nguyen passed the entrance exam to the University of Technology - Da Nang University, majoring in his chosen field. Now, Nguyen is a mature second-year student with a promising future.

“If it weren't for the companionship and support of the officers and staff from the City Police Youth Committee, I probably wouldn't have been able to fulfill my dream of entering university. I always cherish and am grateful for that support, and I promise to strive to study well so that I can have a stable job and income in the future and take care of my family,” Nguyen shared.
According to Major Bui Anh Duc, Head of the Youth Committee of the City Police, implementing the models "Accompanying Children to School" and "Children Sponsored by the Youth Union," since the beginning of the year, local Youth Union branches have sponsored 69 underprivileged but academically excellent students with support ranging from 300,000 to 500,000 VND per student per month. They have also donated one computer, 50 bicycles, two bookshelves, and 1,000 gift packages to disadvantaged students. The total cost of these activities is nearly 420 million VND.
Thanks to the comprehensive and thoughtful implementation of the "Helping Children Go to School" project, many orphaned and disadvantaged students have been given added motivation and confidence to overcome difficulties, excel in their studies, and pass entrance exams to universities.
