Former CAHN player joins Ninh Binh.

Striker Gustavo Henrique has become the first foreign player to join Ninh Binh, in preparation for the 2025/26 pre-season training camp.

Before returning to V.League, Gustavo played in Brazil for América de Natal on loan from Zakho FC (Iraq). Last season, he scored 17 goals in 35 matches, demonstrating consistent form and reliable finishing ability.

The Brazilian player previously played for CAHN in the 2023 season, contributing 6 goals and playing a crucial role in helping the police team win the V.League championship in their first season after being promoted.

Gustavo's experience playing in Vietnam, his good goal-scoring record, and his quick adaptation to the environment are factors that have made him a target for the V.League 2025/26 newcomers.

Besides Gustavo, the team from the ancient capital plans to recruit two more Spanish foreign players in the center-back and central midfield positions. The remaining foreign player slot will be for a striker to strengthen the attacking line.

Regarding domestic players, Ninh Binh has signed contracts with a number of players from HAGL such as Chau Ngoc Quang, Le Minh Bao Toan and Dung Quang Nho. In addition, the team has also reached a preliminary agreement with center-back Duc Chien from The Cong Viettel .

Besides strengthening their squad, Ninh Binh is also investing heavily in its coaching staff. According to our sources, the team will bring in a Spanish head coach along with a team of assistants including a fitness coach, goalkeeping coach, tactical analyst, and technical assistant. This team of experts is expected to arrive in Vietnam in early July to begin their work.

According to the plan, Ninh Binh will assemble on July 2nd to officially begin preparations for their first season in the V.League. With comprehensive and systematic investment, the newly promoted team is showing considerable determination in their return to the highest level of Vietnamese football.
